i'm new to this, so i hope it this pans out alright. the day had started early. at ten o clock. with a rather nice all day breakie, and a pint af stella, at the hamilton hall pub , close to liverpool stn station. towards the end of the third pint around 10.30, our peace, and quiet was shattered my a huge mob of soooouthend fans, off to a thrashing at the lane. a good bunch they were, seemed very much your down to earth type, very pleased with two recent promotion seasons, and hopefully a new ground. but we had to leave, so around 11.15, we stubbled past the tarmac lorrires, and caravans into the tube. aldgate east. is a shyte hole. next to the city of london, no one gives a **** for this area of london, and it sadly shows. but it has one very good feature. the brown bear public house. our biggest turn out, in one place for many many years. 200 hundread or so inside, and loads more outside. good to see so many people made the trek here. its 2.30 and we were off the the ground. its a nice ground, but my god there fans were quite. it a real shame we didint sell out. our first win against them for 23 years, but at least we made the effort. our fans were good, and made all the noise. the stand was good and the views fine. a little cramped down stairs, but the stand has no room at the back. although my view, at times was ruined by some t@@@ dressed as batman, but each to their own. fair play francis, and foster who were great, and we look better without gavin mahon sometimes. the yank and scot work very well together, and did well all game a very sweet result, to beat them after all these years. i made the mistake of staying till the end, so the waiting was bad at the station, but worthwhile just to listern to the moaning *****ing home fans. back to the bear, for a quick sing along, and a meet up with a few mates. to be repeated in a few weeks. roll on the draw, anyone but chelsea, man u spurs arsenal etc will b fine...
oh yes, but i am not that bothered about the 50% of carp threads on here. i will select what i post. and keep a eye on u

big dave is a legend, but whoever suggest that pub in bloody farringdon! we went and it was 'under new management' and therefore closed!!!! saw some other fans who had evidently done the same thing in the witherspoon up the road
