Made an early call to give Liverpool a free kick inside the area .

I presume he felt De Gea handled the Young back pass ..

On that showing we should beat Liverpool. Absolutely awful.

Pressure getting to Liverpool. If we can keep it tight for 30 mins I think they’ll start panicking before half time.

As usual 2 hyped up games are failing to live up to the expectation.

Of the 3 games I've seen bits of think the Luton game was the most exciting!

    :eek::oops:

I know it's not the Premier League, but is anyone watching the League Cup Final? Absolutely "extraordinary scenes" (cliched I know but true in this case) where the Chelsea keeper was "subbed" but refused to come off. Zola was screaming at him to come off; he refused; Sarri started to storm off down the tunnel but then came back. Never seen anything like that before. Original keeper (Kepa) now staying on for penalties!

Sarri will probably quit as the refusal severely undermined his authority. Kepa will be banished to the U21s for the remainder of the season.

It doesn't matter whether Sarri has lost the Chelsea dressing room or not, you do what your manager tells you on the pitch and argue the toss later, in private. That said, Sarri should have walked on the pitch and dragged him off. Kepa should be sacked, but he probably won't be (money talks of course).

How did the useless tool Kepa get cramp in the first place? He’s only got to take a few goal kicks ffs.

I've seen many entertaining goalless draws, but these two weren't among them - especially as I wanted all four teams to lose. Kepa v Sarri was the only bit of entertainment (Kepa should never play for Chelsea again and Sarri should resign if he isn't sacked).

I couldn't understand why Sarri didn't simply insist that the 4th official put the board up with Kepa's number on it. Or could he have subbed him in between extra time and penalties? Not sure if that's allowed though?

That is an absolute disgrace from Kepa and he should never play for them again.

However, I think that is clear proof that Sarri isn’t respected by the players whatsoever. Not one of them backed him up and tried to get Kepa off. Also, wouldn’t be surprised if someone had a quiet word in his ear as he seemed to completely climb down after the game and played the whole thing down.

Sarri really had his authority tested there !

Maybe shows he doesn't have the support or respect of the players ?

Doubt they will sack their useless 70 million goalkeeper to be fair!

I don't think you can sub players after ET but happy to be corrected. As for subbing, if a player refuses, the match carries on apparently. Sarri now says it was a misunderstanding, he thought Kepa had cramp, however Caballero had been warming up for 15 mins beforehand.

    Something in the air today.
I returned from a match to witness 'Kepa tie'* and felt sorry for Sarri and Zola.
In our match one of our team behaved disgustingly towards her parter, starting by saying "Why can't I play with a good player like IBB or Kazzy?" to her partner.
She then proceeded to drop her racket, roll her eyes and put her hands on her hips if Tash made a mistake.
She walked round the other side of the net to Tash and completely hung her out to dry.
At the beginning of their second match, which she tanked, she said"you may as well have this as my back hurts".
She didn't offer the opponents a drink and they were just as appalled at her behaviour as we were.
Despicable woman,I'll recommend her to Kepa!
As I say, something in the air!

Are Chelsea shaping up as the next Blackburn?

Abramovich has lost interest & has stopped investing. Hazard is almost embarrassingly by far the best player & will leave. Sarri clearly isn’t up to the Prem.

The Big 6 isn’t going to be the Big 6 for ever & my guess is it will be our colleagues from the King’s Rd who fall off the high wire first.

Only one point clear now, they're certainly losing their grip.

Anyone know the furthest ahead they've been this season? Think it was seven points clear at the start of this year?

Could it be that he felt that Sarri was only subbing him due to the injury and he knew that he was 100% ok, just time-wasting ? If the sub was primarily for the pens, and this had always been planned, then I'm amazed that he didn't expect and respect it. If Sarri had done all the penalty planning with Caballero then this was a real disaster ....

No way Chelsea get rid of a 70 million keeper. Might fine him, but that’s it.

    Sarri is done for.

True indeed. The bigger worry for Chelsea should be that they’ve spend 70m on a keeper who looks bog average compared to De Gea, Allison and Ederson.

Seems Mr Integrity has left Celtic, mid season. Most likely to end up at Leicester.

    That's loyalty for you.
