http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/7416191.stm Looks like Birthday and Christmas rolled into one. Probably come back to haunt us but at the mo it looks like Derby are just itching to sp*nk their parachute payments ....
I don't really care if Ellington leaves, but I have no faith in us what so ever to sign even a half decent replacement if he does go.
Good. Get shot of him, waive the extra payment from Foolham (that we MUST'VE insisted on!) for Bouazza now they've stayed up and bring in Healy -at least he'll score goals at this level and won't be knocking on Fulham's first team door for a while.
Are U seriously suggesting Bouazza ... no thanks ... no loyalty, if and when he did start playing well he'd be looking to move on again. Healy would be OK for maybe £1.5mil but my choice would still be HH.
No, I was suggesting that the board may have been (ahem) smart in negotiating the Bouazza fee that included an extra payment for staying in the premiershit. Waive that extra fee and take Healy off their hands. I still think he could do a Phillips for someone next season and would be a preferable option than Aidy's inevitable pleading to DJ Campbell over the next few weeks/months As for Helguson. Do you honestly believe we will play this all singing and dancing passing game next season with him, Henderson and Priskin up front? Edit: I should've just said "Yep, what lendal said"
Where is there loyalty in football nowadays? Most loyalty I've seen this season was Hendo rejecting a move to stay here for the season, and look how people hate him.
You all know Ellington will come back and have a blinder against us (score..)! Just to prove a point as he might actually look motivated for a game against us...
Hopefully we'll play them at home on 6th September, on a scorching hot day, early evening preferably when he hasn't had anything to eat or drink for 12 hours.
