Following the "report a racist by text" service, I am hoping that Watford FC will also introduce a similar service to allow us to complain about people sitting in front of me with either a large head, or wearing a large hat which obscures my view.

There is a young lad who is about 6 foot 6 inches tall, who sits to the right of me on the next row down in the rookery. When we're attacking the rookery end, and everyone stands up (which I don't mind), up springs this guy with his big hood up and a cap on, totally obscuring my view of anything happening to my right. He also stands as far forward as possible, which doesn't help matters.

I have only seen him once without his hood and cap, and he was sporting a lovely ginger barnet, so I can understand the hood wearing !

Maybe, we could also have a text service where we can let the club know how hot our pie was at half time, or maybe some signs up near the bar telling us how long it will be before we are served

    great post cloth...spot on!

would also like to be able to text to complain about little pieces of yellow paper landing in my hair and ending up in my pocket, etc... i find this totally offensive and i think the people who do this, show absolutely no regard to anyone else apart from themselves!

My friend next to me never has paper in his hair, which leads me to believe I am being unfairly discriminated against! iT IS DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR AND AN ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE !!

When will this discrimination end?? ... come on Watford sort this out before one of these little pieces of yellow paper has someones eye out...or even worse, someone chokes to death on one!!

I agree ! It's disgusting what goes on that isn't reported. A few weeks ago I was spoken to by a steward who clearly had eaten garlic the night before. Something must be done about things like this, and something should be done NOW ! We're an established Premiership club now, and I don't think we'll survive in this division if our stewards smell of garlic. I demand action now !

I've never heard any form of racist abuse in the rookery over the last 5 years apart from some guy calling Uriah Rennie a "black ****", which would have been totally acceptable, had he not added the word "black"

To be fair racism is blown out of proportion i feel nowadays. If you call a black person a "tw*t" watch how quickly the racism card is turned on, i experience things like this daily.

i never experience anything like that, but then again i don't tend to class everything along ethnic and racial lines. when i go out with my mates i don't see it as the whites and blacks together, its just me and my mates.

I wasnt trivialising racialism at all... Racial discrimination has no part to play in any aspect of life, and the vast majority of people understand and appreciate that.

My post was very tongue in cheek!! Everyone can be offended by something or someone if they want to... Every one can find something to be a victim about if they want to..

Racism needs to be stamped out and therefore the 'text a steward' thing may prove to be a good thing...

BUT!! !! As someone who has been a regular at The Vic for over 30 years, I could probably count the times I have heard a TRUE 'racial comment' on my fingers...

Time will tell... lets see what this text number actually gets used for! I am sure we will soon here of people who have been grassed up because some insecure overweight fat person was 'offended' when two lads from the Rookery chanted "you fat bas*tard!" to the opposing goalkeeper...

...And some Geordie Hornet in the Rous gets upset and offended when a couple of lads start singing "You dirty northern bas*tards!"

No Lowerrous I was not trivialising racism... I was having a light hearted tongue in cheek crack on a Friday evening... sorry if i offended you!

And sorry for any homosexuals reading this that were offended by my remark "I was having a light hearted tongue in cheek crack!"

white people cant say feck all without the pc loving bridgade turning out the racism card.

but people from other backgrounds, can call white people anything they want, and the r word is forgottern.

just like when a white lad attacks a someone for example, it goes down a a racist attack, but when its the other way around the police refuse to log it as a racist attack on a white person.

just like the attacks in west watford in 2004. when english, and portuguese people were attacked because of their skin colour, and religion.

the police did a very good job of making sure they went down as assaults only.

i show know, one of my best mates was attacked, and he gave the police blow by blow account of what was said to him, as he was beaten. up......

still not racist according to the wonderful herts ob...

Technically the guy was correct on both counts, Rennie being both black and a ****.

I have been known to refer to him as coco, nothing to do with the sweet chocolatey drink, just his clown like refereeing, Oops there I go upsetting clowns!!:angel3:

And I'm sure I detected a bit of "gingerism" on your earlier threads (though to be honest that is acceptable):]]

Fair enough your comment was tongue in cheek, but it was a tongue in cheek comment which depicted racial abuse and someone getting yellow paper in their hair as equally offensive and equally silly things to report. I wasn't offended, it was just a stupid analogy.

And whilst it is very good and probably true that actual racist abuse is very rare, it did not appear that you were satirising the pointlessness of this service due to racial abuse being too uncommon to warrant one, rather that it is not needed as racial abuse is not worth reporting, or that if this deserves a text service, then so should other 'silly' things.

I agree with your comment in your post above that the service could be open to abuse, however in your first post that did not come across as the over-riding sentiment.

A guy I work with was very harsh about the ginges, despite the fact that our boss, his brother, is a fully fledged ginga. "thank God I'm adopted and don't have the ginger genes!" he added.

I never interact with them first, they just feel the need to interact with me. Example "Oi you, you fat winker, stop looking at me" in response i say something along the lines of "Shut up you tw*t" and thats racist apparently.....

Its insane. They shout at you when you aren't even looking at you too.

    Big style.

In my eyes calling comeone a 'black c*nt', is no worse or more racist than calling someone a 'fat c*nt'.

Your going on appearance, your not calling every black or fat person it, its personal abuse not racist abuse in my eyes, in certain situations of course...

Lol people who are moaning about the joking of racism, chill out, it can be funny sometimes when joked about, for example,

What do you call 1000 white people running down a hill- an avalanche
what do you call 1000 p**kis running down a hill- a mudslide
what do you call 1000 black people running down a hill................................
