To be fair i've heard this rumour knocking about as well. Its highly unlikely which is why i didn't post it.

Along with 'Watford are rumoured to be looking at barry robson' Whoever he is!?

We might as well sell him. He isn't going to get in the first team for the forseeable future...

How would they know ? Even Hungary doesn't play that many games, surely and he certainly does get many chances to strut his stuff in Hertfordshire.

    Thank God someone wants him.

    Take them money and run.

We paid well over the odds, he has been ****ing awful and won't ever get any better.

Get shot of him and you free up yet more space for other more useful striking options, who actually move about a bit and actually want the ball and understand the basics of the offside rule.

Well I would agree he is lightweight and lazy (like a few of our players..)

Howevee he and Hoskins might be good if we did play football but then we aren't going to it seems so let Priskin go.

Why? Is playing 'football' going to stop him from being an absolutely ridiculously lazy, gormless c**t?

priskin is bad, muff is good, elington is bad, ainsworth is good, CJ is bad, rinaldi is good... how about we let them play some consecutive 90 minutersers

This really annoys me...and it's not just you who falls for it. Some people don't seem to get that the passing style we all crave requires these so-called 'lazy' players. It's not lazy, it's all about not running yourself into the ground chasing hoofed balls and lost causes. Francis seems to get stuck with this stigma too. People seem to want hard work and brilliant football. I bet half of you would accuse the Arsenal team of looking lazy! In fact, after the Burnley game, where all Burnley did was get among them, I think a couple on here did :dismay:

Well he doesn't need to run around like a headless chicken but moving the ball and closing defenders down is a simple task no matter how a team plays?

I guess its just an English tradition and maybe where we go wrong - we like nothing more than lots of effort and determination.

Maybe its just Aidy needs to find players more suited to our style and who can adapt?

Thank God for a sensible post on this theme. If we are to ever establish ourselves in the Premiership we must have players like Priskin. He is a natural goal scorer, he is still young, and he isn't getting enough time on the pitch to be able to do himself justice when he eventually gets the odd 10 minutes. It would be insane to let him go, just watch the Hungary Italy match when he ran the tightest defence in the world ragged for 90 minutes if you want to see his potential. Sell him for £400 k you are insane!!!!

Whether or not he is good enough is open to debate but I'm sure that the lad can not be happy. He is not getting any football and our style of play does not suit him.

Consequently, he will soon be wanting a move and nothing will stop it unless things change radically.

You cannot change a style of play overnight. You might aswell sell Priskin because Boothroyd will not change his style.

You would need a whole pre-season of tactics to change the style and get the right team together.

Actually IMO there has been a marked improvement in passing rather than hoofing in recent game, so he is changing the style. The problem is the playing staff available: two years ago Aidy concentrated on getting the ball up to the front line asap and putting opposition defences under pressure for the whole match. All good until they worked out that if you put Lloyd and Jordan under a bit of pressure their passing goes totally to pot and we can't get past the halfway line. So Aidy's changing it. Unfortunately, the fullbacks can't even pass when given time on the ball so they need to be gone. Only then will we see an improved passing game. But essentially you're right: we'll only see a true winning formula after 6wks of pre-season work.

The bit I have highlighted in bold is the bit I agree with!

Aidy won't change his style of play, so there is no point in holding back the development of a very talented footballer, IMO.

I am very much a Priskin fan, he's got good technique, decent pace and his awarness to create space for himself is very good! It's just a shame our team can't pass water, let alone a football!

It will be a shame to see Tamas go (if he does), and it's such a shame the morons get on his back for supposedly being 'lazy'!

His goal scoring record for Hungary speaks for itself. He's a top class young striker, very much playing under the wrong type of manager!

Put him in WBA or Charlton's side and he'd do very well!

Indeed. He is a good player playing in a team that can't make use of his strengths.

Agreed. Some of our more talented passers have never been given a real chance, for whatever reason.
