As moog said, they are usually something very random that the seer can refer to if necessary, to prove the identity of the messages. In recent games, they have been so obscure that no one but the seer would really be able to decider them - which is kind of the point.

Ahh well looks like we don’t have much of an option. Voting Ashdon at least helps us to determine whether SLB is determined good.

Otter’s explanation makes sense but please remember that the Alpha does NOT know the identity of the other evil players.

    My vote is in.

I know this won't be any consolation but I recently got voted out after being stated as good on day 1 in a message... so... yeah. I know your pain Ashdon.

I'll get to work on Ashdon's wreath. Two wreaths in one day...

You’re all forgiven. I’ve played this enough times before to know how it goes! (Other than you, wolfy. You knew what you were doing there and are not forgiven…)

I’ll vote for myself too just to get this done.

Cemetery keys as and when you can, please, Dom!

(Potentially the smallest input I’ve ever made to a game of this!)

This is something to think about. Ashdon is very experienced. Might be an experienced alpha trying to get rid of an experienced player. Narrows down the pool a little.

Every game the "experienced" point is brought out, it rarely seems to have any relevance though. And almost everyone here has played numerous times before.

Good to see @wfcSinatra keeping up their record of forgetting the game is on/not getting out of bed until late afternoon!

I wouldnt make the wreath yet. I think there is a good chance he is evil and we have struck lucky.

I don't think he will turn out to be a wolf but if by luck Ashdon does, would have expected the traitor to have at least made some effort to at least try and talk people out of the lynching (unless they forgot to play, of course...).

Also, if he is evil, then I expect the Guardian will protect me as the only confirmed good player then I'll be getting munched tomorrow night. The question for those pesky wolves will then be: do they risk losing one or two kills by all going for me, or do they decide that knowing each others identity early in the game is better for them?

Big fan of you calling him Ashton again after the last game when I used that typo to frame you! :D

Ah yes, the "typo" that got the villager lynched.... I remember it well. One mistake I had made all day and everyone agreed it was more than enough evidence. Truth won out in the end though.

I'm gonna vote for SLB on the premise that I'll either be proven an idiot and quickly forgotten, or a genius and can pretend like I knew something (I don't) but Ashdon is dead anyway.

Been a good first day I think, lynching should tell us much. Presume we close at 6?

The village is now shut, please head over to the wolf on the loose thread until morning. All night players please send through your picks.

"What a beautiful day!" Ashdon exclaimed as he walked down the Old High Street in the old town. The sun was shining and a gentle breeze tickled his skin refreshing him. As he walked past the Georgian buildings now quaint little shops, cafes and even a couple of pubs, Ashdon didn't have a care in the world. But he should have.

Drifting along, he stopped outside the Utopia coffee shop and admired the ice cream selection completely oblivious of the gang of approaching villagers. He pondered between rum and raisin and a sickly sweet Biscoff gelato when he was grabbed rather abruptly and spun round.

"It was you!" Roared Otter, his hands tightening on Ashdon's arms. Before Ashdon could plead his innocence, the plastic ice cream stand was launched by a member of the mob and struck Ashdon square in the face, knocking him out momentarily.

Dazed he awoke to find that he had been carried to the bandstand at the nearby village green. "Wh-whats going on?" Ashdon slurred turning his beaten face to the mob before him.

"You are guilty of killing Dom, you deserve to die." Condemned Tony, raising a silver dagger with a rather ornate hilt.

"P-please it's not meeeee" squealed Ashdon knowing it fell on deaf ears.

Tony plunged the dagger into Ashdon's chest. Ashdon squirmed but quickly passed. The blood ran down and stained the bandstand an ominous shade of crimson and not the jet black of a wolf.

    Ashdon was Good.
