I think it's time to stop injury time substitutions unless it is for a genuine injury and not just to waste time. In fact I think that maybe it should possibly
    apply from the 85th minute.

The late time wasting substitutions aren't the problem. It's the refs not adding on the appropriate stoppage time.
What they did at the World Cup was great, real added time instead of a made up number.

Would also give me much more time to leave early.

Okay let's expand this to time wasting! Let's take the match timing out of the refs hands and bring in a dedicated timekeeper. However I still think the very late gamesmanship substitutions should be stopped

I did notice the time allocated did seem to reduce as the knockout stages started though .

Definitely needs to be more done in general to combat time wasting like more yellow cards .

What’s to stop a player feigning injury to be taken off in place of a time-wasting substitution near the end?

Of course that could be done, but not to the extent that 3 or ,4 players could go down injured in added time on a regular basis me thinks.

I've thought for the last few years that once the time added on board is shown on 90 mins, then that's it, no more substitutions should be permitted (even for an injury). You might have four minutes shown, yet play only ninety seconds with the blatant time wasting substitutions that late in the game create - though I guess that farce of the Swansea (home) game where the idiot officials wasted ten minutes fancying about because their mics went down would scupper that plan.

Yes it would clearly not be possible for a team to have 3 players pull up with hamstring injuries. That would just not happen to professional well managed teams.

Hello Sainsburys. If you don't have the extra mature cheddar, I'm afraid we will have to leave it this week, but yes, if you don't have the apricot wheats we will accept blueberry as a substitute. Thanks.

Watching the subs warm up and come on has been the most exciting thing about some of the games this season

I alternate apricot and blueberry wheats each week, best cereal out there for my money. The change keeps life fun and exciting too.

Agree. I have both and spare back ups for each. For a really fun and exciting mystery breakfast, I can shut my eyes after I open the cupboard door and just let fate decide which flavour is chosen for that day.
Staple base cereal for me, with a little bit of granola and lots of fruit on top.

Time wasting seems to be getting too much even for the authorities and the officials are allowing it to happen by not punishing players enough .

Does there need to be independent time keeping or World Cup style injury time so massive amounts of the game isn’t lost?

Also refs need to be braver and book players earlier without the endless warnings that get ignored?
