After the Sunderland match I was convinced that Edwards had to go, I didn't post those thoughts on here and I don't really do social media. I suspect many other fans are like that. Up to that match it was clear RE was out of his depth, in the 10 league games we'd never had more than a few 10 minute spells where we were in full control of a match. Although I was unable to watch the match on Sunday the scoreline speaks for itself that we had someone who can inspire players to take charge of matches and win convincingly. With the squad we have, any manager worth their salt should have no problem pushing for promotion, RE didn't have the experience and it showed. I think it was best to have cut our losses now rather than wait until Christmas like we did with Ivic and be further behind the leaders.

    I completely agree.

I found Rob's appointment unfathomable: I assumed the club must have had some kind of deeper insight into his abilities/ insider knowledge. When it turned out that wasnt the case my reaction was utter disbelief.

I didnt say anything negative about Rob while he was our manager cos I almost never criticize WFC managers while in the job cos I think its a hard enough job without having the fans on your back too. But now he's gone the only good thing I can say about him is that according to Bilic he's left the squad in good shape physically and with a positive attitude which is very good news.

If fans believed Scotts fairy tale about Rob being here for the long term theyve only got themselves to blame for being suckered so easily.

We did in the end after Stoke pretty much gave up once we got the 2nd.

Not sure we were totally in control before that save for a good opening 15 minutes or so when were on the front foot which was nice to see.

Playing in the right positions of course and it helped Bilic that both Sarr and Louza were fit so he could use them.

We'll see in the next few games probably against tougher maybe more motivated teams if that was a one off or not.

We've been here before with managers making a good start...
