7 mio for Johnno That would suddenly make the difference between him and King a lot less... Fair price to me tho'.
I doubt we will be getting him back then. Even if Spurs don't sign him, the price tag is certainly above what we would pay.
Ellington cost £3.5m, didn't hold down a first team place and still hasn't here. Not slating him as I like him, just pointing it out.
My Spurs supporting mate told me this at the weekend, apparently it was in the NOTW, not the most reliable source though.
For a young player wanting to play to develop, it is not that simple a call. Add to this that Adam Johnson knows he's got Aidy's backing and he does not know how Ramos will use him or indeed if he'll use him. If we get promoted, I think we would be as possible a destination as spurs (if we disregard the fact that they pay larger wages that is).
'Xactly!... Well Johnson strikes me as someone more interested in improving and playing than getting paid to be a bench warmer. I don't know why - he just does.
it depends if ramos is looking for a starter or not if he is and is willing to promise johnson first team football were not in with a shot but none of us are in ramos's head so we shall have to wait and see
