I'd shift Sarr up front and start him Wednesday. Seems to be the only winger we have that knows what he's on the pitch to do
Basically sounds like he was told to run at them rather than cross . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-coach-wanted-kalu-run-wigan/#comments-anchor
Another 2 assists for zero talent Sema... Think Kalu deserves a run, but will be tough to drop one of Sarr/Sema when they keep coming up with the goods
I think Kalu might be the better player overall, but Sema's end product is mighty effective at this level, it's difficult to drop him when he puts in a display like that. Kalu off the bench against tiring legs though!
Not saying its a forgone conclusion he'll be a success, but it is hilarious how the chap was completely written off by some when we'd hardly see him play, only one real glimpse and that was a decent performance home to Everton last year. Interested to see can he force his way into the starting 11 when he's fully fit, hopefully the WC break allows him an chance to improve his fitness.
Outstanding. I'd say he won the game for us as he carried the ball forward, created chances and meant we didn't sit back to allow Reading a relentless barrage of long balls to Carroll.
Thought he was excellent when he came on. Close control , decent distribution and prepared to run at the opposition . Did what Sarr should be doing essentially
That's standard forum stuff. Same with Louza last season yet now he's seen as most important player. Some people just like to be negative despite having nothing to back it up
Very different players and let's see if he produces the end product before bowing down to the legend of Kalu
He was bought during the January window when we were fighting relegation and then never seen again. He was completely ignored by two successive managers. Quite frankly, it would’ve been a bizarre stance from anyone not to have written him off, considering the circumstances and the fact that successive managers who see him every day did exactly that. We can all sit on the fence forever and then eventually take the ‘a stopped clock is right twice a day approach’ when things eventually fit your narrative, nearly a year later, but in this instance nobody is fooling anyone with that approach. And let’s not even get into the fact that presumably he was bought to keep us in the PL, but is now finally performing well at a much worse standard.
I do find it odd it's taken this long to see him play consistently. Even if he's been short on fitness he's the ideal player to bring on if you're chasing the game
So we wrote him off before he played. What Hodgson and Ranieri did can be completely ignored as they were both total *******
I think we all agree that it was strange signing where other areas were more important but that's no great surprise looking at previous transfer windows. He looks better at a worse standard, I would say that's fairly obvious because wouldn't everybody?
He’s been here for almost year. Played just over 300 minutes in 9 appearances. Delivered zero goals or assists. For what it’s worth, he’s looked alright in his fleeting appearances this year, but whether it’s down to a lack of fitness or various managers considering him not good enough, I think it’s reasonable to criticize and signing that’s offered literally nothing more than looking vaguely okay on a couple occasions in a year.
