According to The Athletic we are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Fraser when his Bournemouth contract expires at the end of the month. I’m torn between not wanting that cheating little p***k anywhere near our club and wanting to see just how much Dorset p**s it would boil if he jumped ship to join us. Of course our interest comes with the caveat of which division we’re playing in next season.
He might be useful for getting free kicks and penalties but we'd then have to be good at them. Now when Pereyra etc falls over on the edge area we just end up wasting the chance. Just remember last season Capoue having one about 18 yards out from goal and it ended up half way up the Vic Road end !
They certainly did last summer, I remember Arsenal were heavily linked; but the other teams listed in this article were Everton, Newcastle and Palace.
Not a chance unless we are paying silly wages. I don't like the way he won't sign a short term contract with Bournemouth to finish the season either
Wouldn’t be worth the wages he’d demand, also like said bigger clubs will come in for him on a free. Which is where he will end up becoming a bit part player playing the odd cup match and sitting on a bench. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As somebody else said earlier, torn here I think he is decent should we lose Bobby P and Gerry D is out for a while. However, horrible little cheating sh!t. Don't think I could grow to like him. That said I think that about about the whole muff team. Wages.
A good player, but absolutely no chance he comes here. Was heavily linked with Liverpool and Arsenal last summer. My bet is he's already agreed a deal with someone anyway. My money is on Arsenal.
And yet we could field a team comprised of eight versions of him plus Pusetto, Ashley Young with Anthony Macnamee in goal and still commentators would go on about our 'physical presence'.
I wouldn’t want him. I think it’s funny how he’s stitched up Muff and how annoyed their fans must be. But if it was a Watford player behaving like that I’d be well annoyed. I think he’d be a bad egg to have around and he’d cause resentment cos of his wages.
Agreed, 'team spirit' is a very tenuous thing, it comes and goes, but someone who's willing to do that could easily pull the same trick on us. Besides, he's not better than Sarr and Deulofeu, not worth it for a back-up winger
That's my thinking. He admitted he was distracted by his contract and quit on the team, and now he's left them at a real moment of need by refusing to sign a short-term contract. I don't think he's an upgrade on what we have, assuming Deulofeu comes back in good condition, and he'll be on high wages. Aside from seemingly like a bad buy, it feels like it's an over-priced buy with an unclear financial return in the future. Just doesn't fit the Pozzo approach.
Not entirely sure what the 'Pozzo approach' is these days lol, I'm sure they'd be very willing to sign him, far more likely he warms the bench for someone like Arsenal or Tottenham though
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...e-Ryan-Fraser-Bournemouth-exit-EXCLUSIVE-news Spurs and Everton have supposedly moved onto other targets, leaving us & Palace to battle it out. He'd suit Palace and would probably get a better deal there as well.
He is used to playing at a sh1t ground, so I think Palace would be his choice. Familiar surroundings etc.
Of all the diving, cheating, a-holes that have turned out for Bournemouth in recent seasons under Saint Eddie, Fraser is the one who really boils my p1ss. Sign him up
With Pereyra definitely off we need someone who will be able to push both wideman. He's like Muapay at Brighton in the way he annoys the living crap out of me but I would love both of them in my squad. Yes his wages will be high but shift some of the deadwood out and it would be easily covered. If he can replicate his form of last season he would be a real coup. Worth it just to read the Muff forum going into meltdown. Just to really rub salt into the wounds go full tilt for Ake too.
It was that bearded helmet that went to Cardiff that really annoyed me. Can't remember his name. oh and Adam Smith as well
Harry Arter ? The one who shouted "leave" to Chalobah when he was about to shoot and probably score at Dean Court ?
Adam Smith is definitely the worst in my opinion. Can't stand him, the kind of player that would rather look to get another player booked than take the chance himself.
Yes, we will need someone to push both widemen, but someone like Fraser is surely too much trouble for what it's worth as a back-up winger. Was amazing last season, but has been largely ***** this year. Hopefully the multitude of back-up wingers will get a few games between now and the end of the season and push/complement Sarr and Deulofeu next season. If not, there's surely someone we can get other than Fraser
And the cheating ******* who pulled off the OUTRAGEOUS dive against us a few seasons back where he continued running for about three paces and then went to ground after he realised he wasn't going to catch the ball. Gosling, was it?
