Watford are one of several clubs who have made an enquiry for Rhian Brewster. [

Could something in this, especially if we're in communication with Liverpool over Sarr. Would be a good signing, even on loan.

Would be a great signing but I'd imagine he will be off to a Premier League club on loan

Would love this, but agree that he’s more likely to be off to a PL club. I see Villa and Newcastle are interested.

(As an aside, if he stays in the PL he has the potential to be an FPL bargain as he’s only 4.5 lol)

Feels weird being back in the Championship and being linked with loan moves for Premier League players doesn’t it?

Looked a top goalscorer, but didn't really offer much else. Not necessarily an issue but I don't know how that would work with the new man in charge.

We don't seem to get on with Liverpool's board after the whole Sinclair / Zielinski debacle, but maybe could be something of a makeweight in the Sarr transfer.

We currently have a lot of strikers (most of them *****) so I can't see movement on a new striker until we shift some deadwood (or more likely the talented ones like Suarez, Cucho etc)

Makeweight for a Sarr deal? If not I'd be happy to have him - 11 goals in 21 appearances in his first senior season is a great record.

Sarr would be wasted at Liverpool.

My Swans supporting pal rated Brewster very highly.

Also if his nickname doesn't involve roosters I'd be extremely disappointed.

Unless your name's Brewster, 'cause Brewsters are funky.

Not interested in loans this year, let’s invest in young talent for our own squad for once

Not that I don't expect to be depressed at certain points this season, but how ******* depressing is it to see mentions of the idea of the Poolton reds flashing youth strikers at us as a 'makeweight' for our record signing and probably joint most talented player. Sigh.

I doubt Brewster would leave Liverpool for us on a permanent.

I'd probably accept say £35mil + Brewster for Sarr though if the club need to sell; Brewster looked the best goalscorer in the Champ last season.

Would take him on loan as well of course.

Seems a bit hypothetical anyway as he'll surely join a PL club.

Would he improve our team 100%. Loan no. Loan with a view yes. Make weight in a deal for Sarr yes but would like to see us move for Grujic too. Doubt he would want to drop to the Championship though. Harry Wilson has more than proved himself in the Championship too but see him going to a Premier league club. They got any decent defenders in the U23's?

Selling on Deeney and/or Welbeck andband in Brewster on a loan with a view to buy could make sense for all parties. Reduces wage bill and cash positive this season and no commitment if we don't go up, gives Brewster first team football now with the promise of being a Prem first teamer next year one way or another, helps maintain HG quota, reduces age of the squad etc. etc.

The only way he comes here is if he's guaranteed a starting place. Even then it's unlikely, as some of the aforementioned bottom feeding PL clubs would promise much the same.

Now it's rumoured that there's up to 6 PL clubs including Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and Palace taking him on loan next season. Don't think we have a chance here sadly.

Alan Nixon has said Brewster isn't going anywhere. Teams who have been linked to him today where unaware they were interested in the player!

Do you think there'll be more loan deals flying about in the Prem now? Obviously Prem teams are wealthy enough not to have to really rely on players who will leave them after a season, but will any of them be affected so much that they'll start bringing in kids from big teams on a temporary basis?

This particular deal sounds very unlikely, but what 'big club' youngsters are out there that we could snap up on loan?

What if we went for a double loan deal. We loan Sarr to Liverpool for a large loan fee, we get Brewster for the season with no loan fee. If Sarr is a success, we get a better player next yea4 or a bigger fee.

Personally think we made massive mistake not signing Fiyaso Dele-Bashiru from Man City and Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea.

I don't know if they are any good but it would have been fun.

Seemingly Welbeck is as good as gone, Troy may go and Suarez may not come here so this would be excellent. I think we are one good centre forward away from a Championship winning team.

Beginning to see our interest in him being genuine (though fingers crossed the stuff about Suarez is ********!), although I still suspect he'll be hoping for a go in the Prem

Looks like a bargain to me. Young, English, scores whenever he's played and bought from a big club. I imagine there are numerous caveats and I read there's a buy-back clause for the first three years but still, looks good in my opinion.

Seems like an awful lot for a guy with 6 months in men's football, although does look to be talented.

The deal is also heavily weighted in Liverpool's favour. If he develops to be the player people think he will, Liverpool can buy him back for about 16m net. If however he flops Sheffield Utd have spent 23.5m
