After collecting a mate my dad dropped us both at Hemel train station to get the next train into Euston at about 12.30. Arrived in plenty of time and was greeted by a representative from national rail who broke the news that there were no trains running south due to a "total signal failure".
A quick phone call and my dad turned around and took us to Chesham tube station (on his way home) and we managed to work out that the next train was in 15 minutes. So after getting on and changing trains at chalfont & latimer we were on our way to Baker Street. Trundling along the met line with bumps and bounces included we made it to baker street an hour later. At 12.40 i scoffed at woodywfc as he revelaed the official coach had just dropped them, i now felt this may have been better than having to trek from Chesham.
Then a train was taken from baker street to edgware road on where we got on the district line to Putney bridge. Arrived at about 2.40 and then after a congested walk through the park we made it to the ground with 5 minutes to spare.

We made our way to our seats and settled down for what turned out to be a fairly Fulham dominated, drab first half. The only real moment to get exicted about was when smith flashed a header over the top. The craven cottage pies were sampled and the pork, mushroom & mustard pie wasn't bad at all. The three high pitched kids behind us were slightly irritating but bearable (just) and they seemed to pipe down a little in the 2nd half.
2nd half was much mroe enjoyable with Hendo and Bangura hitting the woodwork and the watford fans were in excellent voice. Some good abuse was dished out to the fulham fans nearby not least to the fool that went celebrating down the stairs with no shirt on before realising the goal had been chalked off ;D
Steve Bennett did his utmost to frustrate the fans and succeded in the 97th minute when he needlessly sent off Priskin. We held out and the players acknowledged the fantastic support and the fans began to filter out.

The heavens opened once more just as we passed through the gates of the ground and the majority got rained on whilst heading back to the station. With the silverlink county service still down we fought our way back to baker street and back on the met line to Chorleywood where we got a lift home. The tube seemed to get the better of most watford fans as they were getting on the tube all over the shop ;D

All in all not a bad day out with an excellent atmosphere from the away following.

Ladies, has anyone reminded you in the last few days that we're not on the officials anymore? Personal attacks, intimidation and all the other cr4p that went with it are NOT welcome here. It's exactly the type of posts quoted above that used to put people off posting on the officials, and a very good reason why alternate forums were set up in the first place, (no, you won't get any credit for this place).

I and many others enjoy this particular area, and reading about ALL the different views on the day out, yes even your entry crazylegz'. If I discovered your attacks put even one person off posting here I'd ban you both without warning.

    That should be warning enough.

Admin, i am a bit disillusioned that you have said that. Me and Chewitt always have banter, and i am sure if you look at other posts you see it reversed. I have no issue with Chewitt, and have met him a few times before. No idea where you got the idea of the above post.

To be fair what cude just said is right, it's harmless banter between the two of us. Neither of us have an issue with eachother and if you were to remove his quote it'll be alright as i know the other quote you mentioned wasn't banter.

A ;) goes a long way to help us understand that it's tongue in cheek, not just to me or the mod team but to all the people who reported this to me too.

Admin - I'm a bit disappointed with that post. Since when did the ladies of the MB cause any trouble? An unfair slur on some valuable members

Only a matter of time before you had a dig as well. Try reading the ivam's thread which has been stickied at the top of the page on fans diary section.

I'm sorry to hear you had a boring day, mine was quite eventful and i had a good day as previously mentioned.
