Tamas has joined PNE on loan for 28 days, potentially extended to the end of the season: http://www.pnefc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10362~1259484,00.html Apparently he was signed in time to play against Charlton today so hopefully he'll get a few games for them and come back stronger.
Good luck to him. They play nice football, so there is no excuses for him now to look decent at this level! It's his time to shine!
Let's hope he gets some first team football and improves a bit while he's there, good luck to him. If he comes back firing on all cylinders I'll be the first to hold my hands up!
Fair play to him. When I saw he said no to Crewe etc. I thought he was being a canuting canut. But PNE will be a good place for him - I wish him all the best.
For me this is make or break for him. It will be interesting to see whether he has the fight for a relegation battle. Hope he does well and comes back the player that potential has shown
He has some potential but seems very lazy and lightweight. Could probably get more of a chance in a decent "footballing" side though.
So what can Preston fans expect from him? "People say that I am very good with the ball and I like to run in behind the defenders and maybe if I can do this for Preston then I can help." From the PNE website. Obviously prefers the ball to feet rather than hoofed over his head. This loan deal will give Aidy a chance to see if he was worth the money, I feel that he doesn't fit into Aidy's style of football though.
Totally agree. I like Priskin, I think he's a good player and has bags of potential and will become a very good striker...I also think the same about Hoskins from what i've seen...they'd both fit in well with teams that play the ball through midfield more. I don't think Tamas has a future here, sadly.
Great news, lets hope he knocks in a hat full against some our rivals, and comes back firing on all cylinders in a months time to help us clinch promotion. GOOD LUCK TAMAS!!!
What kind of teams are PNE playing for the next few games? Are we talking WBA or Scunny? I hope to God he manages to do something useful for them, though seeing as he has been here a year and achieved squat I find it unlikely.
Charlton is the only real big team they're playing in the first 28 days. Ipswich and Bristol City their last two games though.
Supposedly played very well alongside Brown today for PNE. Missed a couple of chances, but I suppose he is a bit rusty! Good to see him get some time on the pitch! Good result against Charlton too!
Hope he does really well and comes back ready to push for a 1st team place. From what others, inc allot on 606, say about our style he may never fit in. But are we any more direct than a number of other teams and if so will we always play that way under Aidy ? I always thought the style was dictated by a need for results and a lack of quality in our squad ... we have capable players so why the need for hoofball ... if it really is.
Had a good game by all accounts, lets hope he comes back ready to fire us into the premiership, or if he stays with Preston till the end of the season, lets hope he manages to blow away a few of our championship rivals.
The only thing I can see him pushing at a football club is the white line machine. Lazy, lightweight, and incapable of grasping the offside rule. He can't win balls in the air and can't keep possesion on the floor.
Oh sorry I forgot what a footballing god he is, obviously he is so awesome he has played blindingly in every game this season. Oh hang! on the last game he played at the Vic he got booed off for being so sh!t it was unreal. Of course I'm talking about Priskin!!!
Ours fans are embarrasing. Give stick to players. Albeit he was shocking that game but the booing and stick came early in the game. Anyways this was posted on GH frm a Preston fan. " this is how Priskin was seen by one of my mates at the game today - "He offered us that something that seemed to be missing for us this season. Albeit on todays performance he doesn't a natural finisher but he did everything else right for me. He was pushing their defenders all over the place which I didn't expect of him and he seemed to be able to find that final ball we have been lacking,he also seemed to be making very timely runs hence his two 1 on 1 situations. I don't know what everybody else thought but Priskin and Brown looked like they had been playing together all season, especially when you compare this to the Hawley-Brown partnership who have actually played together for the past 8-10 games or so and created diddly squat.
I liked Priskin, i've always said it was obvious we didn't play to his strengths and as he was young he hadn't matured to adapt his game yet. Will be interesting to know if this really is a short term loan or a 'on his way out in the summer' loan
And Henderson doesn't squander chances does he? Neither did King He'll do well at PNE, because they'll play to his strengths...he'll be happier there than he is here!
But he created them chances with good runs off the ball, how many times does henderson or ellington burst through the defence with a well timed run... ellington did at burnley...was about 5yards offside according to the radio...and missed when "he should have scored" just like prisking did?? good luck to him, he isn't a bad player but for whatever reason just doesn't seem to suit our style of play
I never said the other strikers haven't squandered chances. Thing is we already have many strikers who can get into good positions and miss. If he finds a club where he can put no effort in and score 25 goals then good luck to the boy. But that team sure isn't us and I don't want it to be.

Seems the PNE feel Priskin has good patches but as we said gets caught offside too much and physically weak which ofcourse does not help in this league.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11686_3356502,00.html Alan Irvine undecided as to whether to extend the loan til the end of the season. Interesting though that he's careful to say he's happy with him. I have a nagging feeling Aidy will veto any further loan move and put him up front for Barnsley on the 9th.
Why do I get that feeling as well? I think it all depends on how long Aidy is willing to wait for John to start firing and whether Ellington makes a miraculous recovery some time soon from his permanent dip in form!
