When a post is not responded to in a certain time-limit, it disappears. Why is this? Sometimes i may go back and reply to this post later only to find that it has disappeared. Just wondering, how long is a post not replied to before it gets deleted? ??????
No posts or threads are ever deleted. By default each forum will only display every thread that's had a post in the last month. At the bottom of each forum there's an option to view threads with posts over that time period, (called display options), even back to the very beginning. It was originally set to only 1 week, but I upped it to a month. What I'll do is keep it at a month for the busiest sections and up it to 2 or 3 months for the slower areas. If you search for a post then the search will include every thread from the forums first day. EDIT: I did actually delete one thread made by myself, but that's all so far
