Just asking.... After yesterday’s debacle and today’s sobering up, I was wondering if ANY media outlets or pundits or broadcasters have said or written ANYTHING POSITIVE about WFC? Of course we won the flag waving competition, (I think), but I perused through the Sunday papers on the newsstand (not wasting money buying one) and couldn’t find anything remotely encouraging. Pages of fawning and blue @** licking, it was if there wasn’t another team there, except for some VERY negative analysis and player ratings (2’s and 3’s in the Express). I haven’t trawled through the forum match thread, and I’m still, as someone said, going through the 5 stages of grief. So apologies if it’s been mentioned and I’ve missed it, but to try to keep any semblance of sanity, is there anything positive, anywhere, from anyone?
Well we did lose 6-0 so not sure there would be many positive comments about our performance or high ratings! Sky gave a few 6s out which surprised me actually... A lot of people praised our support and for us getting there. Like you say most of the coverage I've heard is all about City and how good they were/are generally. There was the odd "well if this and that had happened" it could have been different.
We held our own for nearly half an hour and arguably should have actually been in the lead at that stage, but sadly that is an all to familiar story for us. Further more I still think we did not deserve to lose by SIX, but Hey Ho on we go
