I have been told that the stewards are quite strict there. It was on the radio yesturday, maybe radio 5, or talk sport not too sure. You don't really want to go all that way to get chucked out or arrested!!!!! Maybe they will be a bit more sympathetic to trouble makers?
Bring it on. From what I heard on 606 Saturday night it all got out of hand, but as we all know from previous visits to the Brittania Stoke are far from angels.
Im standing up and sod em,we stood up for the whole game at west-ham.Let them try 3,000 watford fans and not 200
I do hope that our whole allocation decides to stand, makes for a considerably better atmosphere and they won't be able to make 3000 fans sit down. I'm in row V anyway so chances are will stand anyway but it would make a change for the whole allocation to stand.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_oCnnJPeZM Early in the film you see one steward punch a fan near the back of the stand. As 2 stewards eject a bloke through the exit, one punches a guy twice and another wades in as well as they are dragging him out
i was very suprised to see on the ticket website yesterday that you could get 4 tickets for the game but I think i was more suprised in a way that there were so many Spurs tickets left as well. I have had the pleassure to visit the Embassy club down in Plymouth before as a mate from uni was a barman there and got to meet a few fans, and I can see why the stewards might get a little heavy handed there at times. Not a nice drinking establishment
A shame if it's true but to be honest with the lack of trains and being the difficult kick off time it is it was never going to suprise me that we didn't sell out 3000 tickets.
According to the local news we sent some tickets back. Didn't catch the whole report on ITV West Country, but basically this game is the biggest thing thats happened down here since they discovered surf boards and waves go nicely. From what i remember on the report they had about 1000 seated tickets, including tickets returned by Watford and a couple hundred standing tickets. Like i say, wasn't really paying much attention but if we've sent some back i'd assume we wont be taking 3000 down with us. My post from another thread for those who are interested.
Maybe they said 200 seated tickets and 1000 standing, like i said, i wasn't paying much attention and only caught the end of the report. Either way we sent tickets back.
