It was an early start for us lads, with very little sleep the night before. Met Bubble at southampton central at about half eight and jumped onto the bournemouth train, cracking open our first beer and toasting a glorious bright spring morning! At Bournemouth we picked up another one of the usual suspects and changed trains to wareham, taking the **** out of a strange old local sporting a rather fetching nike leggings and smart shoes combo!
At wareham we picked up the rest of the south coast reprobates and jumped in the party bus setting off for plymouth with loads of beer, banter and good company. We had a stranger in our midst as well, a man who had found out about our mini-bus through a mutual friend in watford only the day before. He worked as a roadie for Staus Quo and had some good stories to tell, we had a £10 bet that the newly reformed Jam wont play with Paul Weller in the next two years (I think ever but you cant really make a bet like that)! He also said he'd get me on the guestlist to see The Good The Bad and The Queen at Hammersmith Palais so if you're reading mate, dont forget!!!

Its a lovely drive from Wareham to Plymouth, the West Country is a beautiful part of the world and some of the views we drove past were breathtaking, coupled with brigh blue skies. The nine p1ssed up idiots in the minibus were in stark contrast to this setting, as the Old Bill no doubt thought when they pulled up next to us and started speaking to our driver. The driver told them we weren't going to football but it didnt really wash with them- something to do with the south coast orns flag and watford scarves hanging out of the window perhaps? they proceeded to follow us for the rest of our journey, we tried to lose them by pulling into a leisure park but they followed us in and waited! We arrived in Plymouth and headed for the Barbican, we displayed the flag and had a kick about with some kids, beer spilling everywhere! It was a bit quiet and family-orientated (a bit like vicarage road!) so we left and headed for the 3 crowns.

What a turnout, the best of the season so far! The flag went up again and the pub was rocking! Good to see some old faces and meet some new ones! The plymouth fans came out of the pub opposite and tried there best to intimidate the 150 or so lads drinking out the front of the 3 crowns but it didnt work and there was some good banter (you can stick your f-ing carrot up your arse!)

I wont bore you with details of the game, you all watched it im sure, but needless to say we won and the atmosphere was cracking! Police got a bit lairy with us outside the ground, probably argyle fans and sore losers. The rest of their support were no more gracious, a few lads jumped a barricade to get to us and squared up, trying to grab the flag off one of our lot. Suffice to say one of them will have a very sore nose and probably a couple of missing teeth today! The police forced us onto the mini bus and we set off for home, cracking open a bottle of lambrusco light to toast our victory.

An excellent day out, probably the best of the season! Roll on the semi's!

An entertaining read. The re-occurring theme does indeed appear to be police, beer and bitter Plymouth fans

it started with police and ended with them

we had about 20 12 years olds trying to scare the 51 blokes from 18 to 40 in the coach park

plymouth seemed to be a fearless bunch when the police are around

    Here we go.......

Woke up around 3am and couldn't get back to sleep, so to the fridge it was to crack open a strongbow, first beer of the day. Continued to drink/get ready til about 6 when i thought i had better make a move to Snorebens road.

On the bus on the way there and got a few funny looks when i was pouring a half can on carling into a half can of strongbow to make a snakebite, well...it was 6.30am!

On bus had 'breakfast' at the back of the coach nearing 8 and off to 'muff we went. Got there around 1.30ish and all piled into the nearest boozer, a lloyds bar. Was having a beer in there where i decided it was pretty dull in there and rang a few mates who were in the three crowns. We rang a few cabs and got them to do shuttle runs between the pubs to get all the rest of the lads down there.

A good boozer where around 100 Watford old and young drinking outside in the sunshine. A few locals started to group in the pub opposite but it was a bit late at that time as a few coppers including our resident Mr Gick, who finally found us!

Met Bubble there, i dont remember much about our conversation, i was pretty much b*llocksed by that time! nice to put a name to a face none the less!

Off to the ground in a taxi, i got there and realised i had actually lost my ticket somewhere along the line. Walking off to find a pub a couple of minutes into kick off, where i was approached by someone desperate to unload a ticket, sorted, £10- but in with the Plymouth!

So into the game sitting there, Watford scored i had to sit there and watch the rest of you go mental! very hard!

15 minutes to go walked round into the away end where i met a few of ours and watched the rest of the game. Celebrated at the end then out to find our coach. found the lads and our coach and got a very welcoming cuff round the head from our very own Mr Gick, then off back home to civilisation and a service station robbed of all its sandwiches and drinks on te way home.

all in all a top day out....

Both sound good, i wasn't expecting much from the day going on official coaches but was actually class day, the fans road block was class, game was **** but atmosphere was good and devon locals getting restless was classic
