Well i've had about enough of thinking about yesterdays debacle so i think it's about time to start looking forward to next week. Anybody know of any good places to park at Villa, ideally fairly close to the ground?
Over the years, Cup matches included street parking is highly dangerous. Lots of horrible little illegitimate brummie kids wanting money to look after your car etc. Also i have seen numerous cars with smashed windows and stereos gone. if driving, wherever you park leave nothing on display at all. At the Soton semi i must have seen at least 10 cars with smashed windows.
Right, could be a good idea to take down the watford kit and dangly dice! Would it be worth parking in Birmingham centre? is it walkable or would train be the safest bet?
How To Get There By Car & Where To Park The ground can be seen from the M6, if you are coming from the North side of Birmingham. Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and take the slip road sign posted Birmingham (NE). Turn right at the island (the fourth exit), the ground is well signposted from here. However to be on the safe side, turn right at the second set of traffic lights (there is the King Edward VII pub on the corner) on to Aston Hall Road. This road will take you down to the ground. Mostly street parking (don't be surprised though if you are approached by kids wanting to 'mind your car'), although this is not as plentiful as it once was due to a local residents only parking scheme now in place in the streets around the Witton Island area. Both times i've been to villa and both times we've been approached by dirty pikies offerering to key your car, put your windows in and take you stereo and loose change look after your car. If you're driving get there early enough so not to be suspected of being a watford fan and don't show colours when leaving your car and as Jobr said do not leave ANYTHING on display.
Lol, think i'd be better off parking in the centre circle, The car would win more of the ball than Bangura, is more mobile than Mahon and far less lazy than Francis, plus it looks a whole lot better than that lot! Will certainly be taking down any watford stuff in the old wagon, oh the fun of visiting places like Birmingham and Liverpool!
No reason apart from its about 250 miles from my journey start point and ever so slightly off course from Birmingham, apart from those reasons, i might consider it!
