Shouldn't that penalty be, at least, re-taken due to the 'keeper not being stationary on his line? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61771218
What made me laugh was the Aussie keeper yeeting the Peru keepers water bottle (with the penalty instructions on it) behind the goal. Pure *********ry that i'm all for. https://twitter.com/thesefootytimes/status/1536974925440897024?t=LtvW05JZFeOXgKffTRZn5A&s=19
Do you have to be stationary on the line ? Or do you just have to be on the line, not forward from it but move as much as you like ?
Haha why can't you touch the post/ crossbar? Because you could hang on and swing from it, or because you could pick up and move the goalposts during the run up?
Not sure! The moving the goalposts does have precedent, as this goalkeeper in Norway has found out recently: https://twitter.com/Perro_en_Cancha...-moving-posts-closer-together-in-sneaky-trick
I think the odds are stacked too much in the kickers favour, I think it would simpler and better if the keeper could do whatever he wants anyway. I guess the trouble is in theory if there were no rules a keeper could just rush the kicker.
Agreed. I think it is ******** that penalties have to be retaken because the keeper was half a centimetre off his line. Keepers should be able to take one or two steps forward without consequence.
Big steps, little steps, steps adjusted for keepers height ? I agree keepers should be able to do pretty much whatever like as long as they stay on the line. And that’s pretty much where we are today.
If a goalie could hang on the crossbar they may try to rotate 360 degrees around the bar like a table football keeper. Get a mighty heft on the ball if they connect, possibly score at the other end.
