If you can read this then you're at the new hosts. Your wfcforums content is now served up from the UK, no more hops accross the pond, (unless you're based over there). Hopefully you will notice a vast improvement in speed. If you do see this thread then please post on it as I need to know when the first few arrive, this means things are working with regards to redirections and such nonsense.
There were unfortunatly going to be some posts losts as the new hosts couldn't tell us exactly when the switch over would be, but all in all I don't think we lost too many posts.
The new people moved the database over at about 4pm yesterday. Anything posted after that time, up until the moment this thread was opened has gone forever. Forum header should show again after a refresh.
Some of my posts are missing, which were gold dust. I feel sorry for all the people who won't get the chance to read them.
Update: Once the big red button was pressed, the name wfcforums.com was assigned a new reference number, (otherwise known as an IP address). The big clever computers around the globe that know where everything is, (known as DNS servers), that know this number have got to talk to each other so that they are all aware of this change. I believe this has happened already. The reason some of you still don't see the right number when using wfcfourms.com is because your ISP's probably cache certain information, and you won't see the updated name until tomorrow when they update. That's life I'm afraid. Those of you using the temporary link might also have a few navigation issues when using certain forum links, so bear with it for the day please. I'll be back to talk to you all like kids again later :happy3:
using temp link and it looks like I have lost about 2000 of my 'orns. Any chance I could get them back admin?
Didn't have any problems getting on the site, in fact as i've been in a meeting all day i didn't realise the change had happened...does seem a little bit faster though?
Temp for me as well. By the way Admin, any chance you can accidently get rid of the Championship Relgation vBook whil we change over
