I think that generally he says what the club want him to say and the club like to keep their transfer dealings secret, so he is pretty reliant on reporters from other clubs breaking things. I just suspect the club are just as dreadful at interacting with him as they are the fans and potential signings like Holebas and Gueye. There are articles where he is speculating or giving his opinion, which people like to lampoon him with when it isn't correct, but when he reports something as being certain it broadly is. He sounded pretty confident that our interest in Busquets was real, but that it didn't sound close to happening at the moment.

Kind of would have preferred Grimes due to his experience in this league, leadership and readiness to play immediately. However if that’s not happening this kid will probably be a great long-term addition. Hopefully have an option to buy at the end of any loan deal.
If we get 2 out Basquets, Grimes, and Morrell replacing Doucoure and Capoue, then that would be very good business.
