this is annoying as were a much bigger club than hull yet we dont even try to sign players of Jay Jay's calibre
Agreed he was once a great player, but i can't see him being better than what we have now. He might have been good at teaching some techniques, but i think he's past it as a player now
fair point...but still, look at cardiff signin fowler and hasselbaink....you could probably say the same about them but surely just having them at this club would do wonders
I think they're likely to be on huge wages and only able to contribute a year or two on the field. I think we have plenty of off the field knowledge and are more looking towards building a stable Premiership team for the next 5 years.
Agree with that. When we signed Les Ferdinand 2 years ago i think he proved that having an old pro can be useful, but as you say the club is a lot more experienced now so we have less need for those types of players.
hasselbaink, fowler and so, are all only short term measures who wnat big wages. Do we really need them?? IMHO no
