I didn't go so duno what we played like but to change more than half the team against a team that hasn't lost in 13 games prior to this game seems a good result.

Fair play to the 4k ish fans that went up, fantastic support.

It was a poor ball into the box and it should've been a simple clearance for the defender, instead he passed it to Igahlo, it wasn't going anywhere near him otherwise.

Thought it was very frustrating to see Abdi playing on the left this game. Whatever people think about whether he is good enough to be starting for us in the Premier League, this is a player that has shown time and time again that he can unpick Championship defences and it was disappointing not to see him back in the middle today. Having seen Jurado play well in his favoured position last week, this seems like a wasted chance to have played play Abdi in his.

We're gonna win the FA Cup lads.

Good result, meh performance, poor performance from us fans. Think that's the short summary.

Im interested in that you say a poor performance by the fans, I think this could be because any fan with a buying record could get one for this game. Our support has been amazing away from home this season and I think that is due to only proper fans being able to get them.

Would you agree that this could be the reason for the fans being 'poor' or do you think it was because it was a cup game against lower league opposition?

Im only cat C for away tickets so miss out sometimes but fully support the way the club are doing things in this respect..

Im fed up with people telling me to sit down on a away trips so perhaps today is an indication of the people that don't usually get tickets ruining the atmosphere.

From watching on the tv/stream, it felt like on of those American friendly atmospheres during the first half, when you could hear all the casual Forest fans cheering as soon as they got the ball into our half. I guess that is a testament to how far we've come.

Forest don't look a bad side, I understand they can't trade players at the moment but when they can if they could add a few options going forward they could be a serious play off contender.

Typical goal poaching by Ighalo pouncing on the mistake by Wilson.

    Nordin A came close too.

Didn't look like a foul at the end as they claimed.

Great overlap and fantastic simple ball from Parades which took 3 players out of the game

I've been to 5 away games now this year and this was the worst for atmosphere, with Stoke by far the best. If I'm honest I didn't think there'd be a great atmosphere despite the large number we took as usually there's a large amount of noise on the concourses pre match, followed by other notable parts not there today, the team nor the fans really seemed up for it in all honesty.

There's probably a small amount to do with the spread of more vocal fans over probably around double the area space that we usually get, but either way 4000 fans should be able to make a good amount of noise which I think everyone will admit we didn't, except for when Ighalo scored.

    Just one of those things.

My man(men) of the match was that odd group of 10 guys with flags to the right - like Nottingham forest ultas but not really.
Singing 'champions of europe, you'll never see that' but most being under the age of 25

Amrabat is not a striker. He is not a goal scorer he's scored about 20 goals in his last 5 or 6 seasons put together!! We need another goal scorer. Anyone who doesn't see that I.e. You, is a moron.

the singing from away fans is always terrible at Forest as they are in a really weird stand. They are spread wide, only half covered and the sound only ever travels out and not across to the rest of the fans there. Today I was on the rhs looking at the pitch and only heard songs started in the middle once they were halfway through or near the end. There is no way you can get a whole end singing like that

That's funny because I'm pretty sure he played as a striker yesterday? I'm sure Quique could learn a think or two from you though pal as you clearly know best. I'm not disputing the fact that we could do with another attacking player, the simple moron was pointing out that Amrabat or Deeney could possibly step up if Ighalo got injured but nobody knows as we're not in that position.

It has been, don't get me wrong, but for 4000 we didn't make much noise, that's all I'm saying.

It was very quiet. But chicken or egg, the team gave precious little to get excited about, and the players certainly wouldn't have got inspired by our singing.

It was one of those games where there was just so little happening. Both teams were relatively comfortable at the back, so very few chances, and very little enterprise. Forest sat back, and our forward play was diabolically slow. We were so, so, so boring.

Re: the atmosphere, or lack of. Perhaps down to it being a crap game overall? There was little to get excited about.

Not sure. There seems to be a critical mass of Watford away fans above which no matter how good the game is the atmosphere just never sparks. It's about time the club started properly reserving blocks of seats from away allocations for people who want to sing. That way it would spread easier to the rest. As it stands the singers end up dispersed and the day trippers don't know enough of the words.

First game I've missed this season, that probably explains the crap atmosphere....gutted not to be there though even if it does sound like a crap game.

Anyway, deeney started as predicted. Oulare and berghuis deemed too dreadful even to make the squad as expected.

Was gueds really that poor? The daily mail gave him motm!

In the 5th round of the cup. Happy days. Full strength teams from now on please.

  24. Not poor as such, just didn't do anything to justify a spot in the first 11. None of the squad players did. Very flat. Hard to pick a MOTM no one really deserved one.

Yes, that's about right - my missus made more noise when she found out I was going to the match instead of shopping with her like I'd (supposedly) promised.

But then again, there was literally nothing to sing about for 88 minutes. Forest and Watford have no history - they are just one of those teams we have to play from time to time. And I don't think the way the support was stretched out in a long thin line (like something off Zulu) really helped what sound they did make to carry.

Forest fans were also very quiet, apart from "City Ground, the mist rolling in off the Trent - my desire is always to be here, Oh City Ground" which they did at the start of both halves - a slight improvement on that embarrassing "Robin Hood riding through the glen". Some bizarre seat distribution meant that most of their fans weren't where they'd normally sit, which probably didn't help things.

They was a bit of banter with Deeney when he took his shirt off. It put a massive grin on his face which was highly appreciated by those around me.

Having to sit po-faced as your team scores in the dying minutes isn't fun. All in all a pretty crap game which we just happened to win thanks to one of their players.

Amrabat looks like he could really be useful. Made Anya look like a child in comparison.

A midfield of Gueds, Watson, Anya and Abdi didn't exactly get overrun, but they were second best for the most part.

Forest have a young 18 year old lad called Oliver Burke who looks a real prospect.

Word on Jurado - really failed to shine against a championship side when he came on. Really should be the one to make way for suarez

Has there been a game this season where Jurado played poorly and no one else did?

I just wonder that if every time Jurado plays badly, the response is that others did too - that Jurado can only play well if his teammates do too.

    Big concern for me, Clive.

Jurado wasn't great but he came on at the same time that Deeney went off, and we continued to lump it forwards thanks largely to Prodl.

He did more than Ighalo for 16 minutes until the goal.
