Very early wakeup call for me, up and at 'em from 5.15AM. set off just after 6 and took the long walk to Kings Langley for the 6.39, meeting Malcom (Adam) at the Junction. Got to Kings X fine and had a chat with 2 Watford boys in Maccy D who like myself seemed confident for the days ahead. Train journey quite a non-event, one of the most boring journeys in a long time but then again I was half asleep for 3/4's of the way there. Met up with the lads at Newcastle Station and headed straight for the pub where anything and everything was consumed - Beer, Cider, Sambuca, the lot. Met a few people I rarely see (Nick, Faith, Firefly) along with some of the regulars (Cudey, Rich, Paddy, Jon, Doug) and I thought we made some good noise. The Yellow Army descended upon St. James' Park - The noise was sensational, but away atmosphere of the season for me - even with the OTT stewarding. They hauled me ouit for making "disgustingly obscene gestures" twice - when in reality people were doing much worse. One of the stewards did seem sympathetic and said he could understand me getting into it so talked his little friend into letting me back in - I hope the ironic cheers upon my return weren't aimed at me! Good game, we were excellent I thought. Gave them a right going over at times but alas, no goal for Henderson although he hit a lovely volley which produced a fantastic save from Given. After the game the boys got a well deserved obvation from the travelling 'Orns before we embarked back to the pub for 2 or 3 quick ones before the train home, ended up drinking even more and having a nice singalong on the train home combined with more drinks. Got mis-advised at Houston and ended up in Northampton at about 1.30AM panicking how the hell I was going to get home. Luckily got a lift towards Hunton Bridge from a very generous (and drunk) guy's mum...Or else I'd probably still be there now. No way was I paying £145 for a taxi home, I told the driver where to go. Stumbled in at 3.45AM and literally fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow - had the mother of all hangovers on Sunday so work wasn't too fun. My dad saw fit not to wake me up this morning even though I feel fine, but I'm not complaining. Days like this are why I love football.
Poor account of the day! Where was all the cursing etc? You missed out the consumption of some drinks! Missed out trying to sort people out etc By the way, are you still drunk now.... Houston isn't in England! Christ you got lost
London Houston - London Euston. Mate after the banning of everyones favourite MB user I thought I wouldnt include any of that stuff - just in case. I'd still be in Northampton if it wasn't for some charitable bloke! I think some things should just be left to the people who were there...
Don't be concerned over what will get you banned. A blogs a blog, I'm sure we'd rather read about everything that happened than have you miss out stuff because it might get you in trouble here. It won't. At the very worst it will be edited and then only if libelous or racist usually. You've got to be pretty d4mn stupid to get any sort of ban here, we'll almost always fire a warning shot first and tell you why
