I really don't think you are far off here. The main issue with Forest is that they don't know how to get the best out of the player, they won't adapt their play either. They are quite a direct team.
They alos think he s a DM which I dont think he is and I agree he ll end up getting benched like McGugan
He can definitely play a deeper midfield role. If they played a diamond I think he would fit in. Then again, they used Lansbury in the DM role a couple of games ago. That is after the Halford up front experiment too. Safe to say, Billy Davies doesn't know his arse from his elbow right now. They've got Derby this weekend on TV. I'm hoping we learn more about how they use Chalobah, even if he isn't a player of ours it'll be good to see how he has progressed.
Exactly, he's a deep lying playmaker not a defensive midfielder. A diamond is just a 4-4-2 with a very offensive CM that can operate as a virtual 4-3-3, but fundamentally its still 2 central midfielders. They might find replacing a DM for a DPL leaves them light in the middle.
Mcgugan's ability to get a ball, with precision, to where he wants it via the trajectory he chooses is one of his strengths this that lead to that goal at the weekend
Yeah because to understand if a player is physical when you sign them... What a waste of money. Not even on the bench.. Hope Derby stuff them tbh..
So their physical presence goes off after 15 mins with injury and now Lansbury is the holding MF.. /Clapclap
*talent. I hope Chelsea are happy with the extra 10/15k a week they've earned by potentially putting a promising, home grown talent years back in his development.
He was injured for the game at the weekend but Davies had said he wasn't impressed with his fitness levels before apparently. Putting the 2 together, maybe they pushed him too hard during the week. Not the first time they played Lansbury in the holding role either. Not sure what to expect from them.
Not surprised about that to be honest. I think this is Forests game plan, to be physical, 1 sent off and 4 others on yellows compared to Brightons one. I thought it was pretty similar at Vicarage Road when they played down here.
Chalobah Clearly very talented as seen for Hornets last season, but he couldn't do anything right today and forest looked more solid with 10 men than with him on the pitch. Can we afford to play him til he finds form? Taken from the Forest forum
I know it's very early days but I thought Mceachran was excellent yesterday and if Chalobah is struggling a bit then maybe we have actually done well out of all of this
Perhaps Nath is unhappy with being at Nottingham ? Or perhaps he is a secret agent sent by Zola to disrupt the Reds in time.....
Yes. He certainly knows how to pass to someone in the same colour shirt. Very quickly and crisply too. Reminded me of Abdi.
People do seem to forget how much Nate faded towards the end of last season- in particular in the final he was probably the worst player on the pitch (and they were all dreadful that day). Undoubted talent but I don't feel we're missing him particularly.
He's getting slated by forest fans on twitter this evening. 'and chalobah is on 40k a week. I wouldn't pay him 40 pence a week' 'Can we send Chalobah back to Chelsea? Was easily the worst player on the pitch and didn't even look like he was even trying.' 'One thing I am certain about is Chalobah should be sent packing. Talent or not he coasts through games without a care. Lazy and useless.'
Funny that he was hauled off at half time by a horrible little man of a manager who can't get him to perform. Nothing against Chalobah at all.
Chelsea will rue the day they decided not to let him come back to where he wanted to be. ... and by rue, I mean probably go on and sign some other foreigners instead.
Personally I'm glad if it teaches Chelsea that they should send players on loan to clubs that can develop players the best, not the ones that offer the most cash.
They probably expect great things after the performances he put in for us but Chalobah was an unkown then - suspect some teams have worked out how to play him. Plus he didn't really want to go there.
They won't learn a single f**king thing. If Forest choose not to extend his loan they'll just farm him out to Vitesse to rot.
