MOTD complaint response

For all of you who wanted to read it ;D ...



Dear Miss Wood

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Match of the Day'.

I appreciate you are frequently disappointed by the placement and
treatment of Watford on the programme.

The running order for each edition is determined by the day's big
stories, talking points and most entertaining games. There is certainly no
perceived bias to put a team higher or lower in the running order. Our
intention with the programme is to provide a more comprehensive review
of Saturday's Premiership action.

Further, BBC presenters, commentators and pundits are well aware of our
commitment to impartiality. They are expected to put their own views to
one side when carrying out their work for the BBC.

BBC Sport regularly receives both positive and negative feedback about
individual commentators used in our programmes. We do pro-actively
research viewer opinions about our presentation teams as well as monitoring
complaints. If we receive only negative reaction and feedback then we
would certainly look to address this.

It is interesting to note that over time supporters from a number of
different clubs contact us about the placement or amount of coverage
their team received in the programme. It proves that we cannot please all
the fans all the time.

Nevertheless, let me assure you that your concerns have been fully
registered on our daily audience log. This internal document will be made
available to the 'Match of the Day' team and Senior BBC Management.

Once again thank you for taking the time to contact the BBC with your
views.

I'm sure we will be one of the few main games on MOTD today. There weren't any other games played today with as much of a story to them or as much riding on them.

I went to Sir Henry Floyd in Aylesbury... and i refuse to ever step into that dung hole ever again!

Anyways, now i take up residence in Plymouth until the end of my uni education i'll consider myself devoid of any connection that 'dung' hole as you call it.

I lived on the same road as the high school. Well done avoiding it.
