Winning yesterday, tv coverage and gate money must have netted us over £600,000, add to that previous rounds and we must be over a million up.

If we could win the semi that would be worth close to £2 mill.

Aidy must have a massive pot for summer spending now - mustn't he?

Weren't the other rounds worth around £300-400,000, thats almost, if not a million already!
So in theory yes, we have a lot to spend, but i don't think we will, unless Aidy get's rid of some fringe players/1st teamers that are underperforming/lack quality. I think we'll probably save most of it for the next Premiership campaign (2008/09)
All the debts are cleared, so this money will just help the bank balance.
I think we might actually make a profit this year!

    3rd Round: £40,000
    4th Round: £60,000
    5th Round: £120,000
    6th Round: £300,000

    TV money: £18,000 x 3 (highlights) + £265,000 (live coverage)

= £839,000 of FA Prize money. Add on gate receipts and we're looking very healthy indeed. However, it's all prize money only from now on. The FA pocket the broadcast rights and gate receipts from the Semis and Final I believe.

Thanks for that! Any ideas how much the loser recieves in the Semi's? Guessing even if we don't win, we'll still have got over a £1 million in total, which has effectively funded the signings of Hoskins and Williams

I read that because of the BBC scandal with kick off timing we would recieve 265,000 even if we lose and something like 565,000 if we win.

read it myself yesterday morning in the new of the world , so it has to be true.Although that is the winning you get from the total pot , not for winning each round.

I think i read it on skysports.com as well but not 100%

Yeah, that's where I took my data from. No mention of the mystery News of the World money.

If I remember correctly from the last time we got to the semi (bearing in mind that back then this was a heck of a lot of money to us!) that the ticket sales for BOTH semis is put into a pot after cost have been deducted, the FA get 10% and the rest is split between the four teams. There is however NO tv money.

Come to think of it.... the newly refurbished Rookery. No wonder we cant afford to spend any money on new players... We should put all this money we're getting into a little jar just in case we need it for something really important.

Like new gold plated gates for "Valley Grown Salads" HQ!

Speaking of which isnt it about time the Russo's updated their Ferrari's?
(In case anyones wondering, Jimmy Russo is Vice President of Watford Leisure PLC and his brother is a director)

I could kneecap Gavin Mahon, I would only require a small fee, you know, expenses and that.
