Blues in pole position for Kallon September 06 2007 Steve Bruce insisted Birmingham are in "pole position" to bring striker Mohammed Kallon to St Andrews should he want to sign the Sierra Leone international. Kallon has been training with City for the past week and was on target in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Kidderminster at the Blues' training ground on Wednesday. The 27-year-old former Inter Milan player would not cost City anything in transfer fees as his contract has been paid up by Monaco, where he spent three seasons. Bruce said: "It's wrong to say Kallon is on trial. I know the agent, he said Mo was coming to England and could he train with us. "I said 'no problem at all' and we've been having a look at him. He's training with us and getting into shape. If he can do us a turn, then we're in pole position to sort something out. "I had seen him play years ago. It was a bit like when I saw Christophe Dugarry for Bordeaux. We were watching somebody else but he caught my eye. "Something just stays with you from games. It was the same with Olivier Kapo as well. I remember games he played a couple of seasons back for Auxerre. "You remember them and monitor them. At Ipswich, Kallon played an unbelievable game for Inter Milan a few years back. "He was quick, lively and they couldn't live with him. He's been with us a few days now and we're considering what's best. But it's fair to say he is something a little bit different to what we've got to offer up front."
- Oh dear god, deluded. - Is that your mission ? To post EVERY rumour that involves Watford, ridiculous or otherwise. When he believe we have a chance of signing him disbelief will be in his direction, i won't lay off either, this section is getting as bad as the one on the old boards.
What's that even supposed to mean? I know it's pretty unlikely to happen (in fact I think it's typical Sunday paper tosh by journos with nothing else to write) but it's in a newspaper so the source is valid. And he's said where it's from so he's not just made it up. Add to that it's in the right section and there's absolutely no problem with nak posting it on here. If it was from footballrumours my opinion might be different

Surely the idea of this section is to discuss Rumours from credible sites and less credible newspaper rumours as well as to discuss who we think could be potential, realistic targets. I doubt it'll happen as well and i don't think the NOTW can be trusted with rumours, but it's not that unlikely to think, at the very least we are interested.
Might as well get rid of this section while the transfer window is closed : Notw is hardly a credible source, however despite that, it is a rumour, and there may be a slight bit of truth. It might be utter bull-sh*t, but that doesnt matter; this is a rumour section. Naks rumours are often mis-lead or from unreliable sources, but if you don't like it, don't attack him, merely don't contribute, or slate the source, not personal.
Have to agree with UEA, lay off the man Chewitt. It makes him happy, and I enjoy the exciting wait for the next crazy player we are linked to! If you see a Nak thread come up you have a good idea of what its going to be, if you don't like it then just leave it alone.
I see nothing wrong with Nak posting these rumours after all this is the Rumour and Transfer part of the forum. Now if you dont like him doing it keep of this section of the Board! Some of us dont know about these rumours so it is nice to be kept up to date, so thanks Nak!

As previously mentioned you should have found that last night when you were getting in a tizz. Sexybadger, perhaps i was a little OTT but it's yet ANOTHER pointless rumour, plain silly. Too many threads like these (not jsut from nak) forcing the reasonable rumours/suggestions out of sight.
If you are being serious, then hell yes, Kallon is quality. Get him and kick out kabba . But its not going to happen
