Napoli have rejected Besiktas' first offer of €2.5M for Miguel Britos..#Watfordfc have now joined the race. (via @DiMarzio)
Yes from me, check this... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/fo...s-delivers-brutal-headbutt-Alvaro-Morata.html
Looking forward to this being wrapped up in time for the start of the season. The 2016/17 season that is. :yawn1:
I reckon he has #Watfordfc set up as a shortcut on his phone and just keeps accidentally attaching it to every single tweet he sends.
http://m.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-...-allan-britos-e-inler-le-contropartite-698876 "Major updates in key Naples arrived in the evening by the director of Sportitalia and Tuttomercatoweb.com Michele Criscitiello. These updates about this deal: "Udinese and Napoli are conducting negotiations for the transfer of Allan in blue." There was a direct contact between Gino Pozzo and Aurelio De Laurentiis through a phone call. Udinese are asking 16 million euro. The distance is narrowing considerably, but there may be the inclusion of some technical counterparts: the names in question are those of Inler and Britos who would move to Watford, a company which owns the Pozzo family. The combined offer of Naples is then 10 million euro more than these two players." Gino getting involved with Udinese transfer deals? And if that means we get Inler and Britos then he's a genius, although it probably just means Britos.
Udinese wanted €16m for Allan, if they end up getting just €10m and two awesome players get sent to us their fans will be livid.
**** their whiny fans. Imagine we get Inler though. Imagine that. Waiting for reids to inform me he's been ****e for 3 years now.
Don't see why - we will obviously pay Udinese the 6m if that suits the group position - i bet we paid them 4m for Vydra today so they have had a nice little result!
Exactly. They would have been paid a lot more for Abdi, Angella, Vydra et al after playing The Championship instead of rotting in Udinese reserves. Its a lovely system
Due to the massive hike in the TV money for the season after next, I would be surprised if we weren't the priority among the Pozzo group for next season, then all 3 clubs would be able to benefit from that deal.
Once Abdi gives him the lowdown on Charter Place and how the Red Lion might become a Thai restaurant, the ink will be drying on the contract.
Just because they played together in the past doesn't mean that they like each other. Maybe Abdi joined us to get away from him.
18M€ according to news at the time. Even if 4 years older, having him back in an (Allan = 10M€ + Inler + Britos) seems quite a good deal, particularly if those two can be useful for WFC's safety with their experience. Also, apparently their current wages are not above Pozzo's "salary cap". Google says Inler 1.4M€/year (2011) and Britos 900k€/year (2012). Affordable. Remains to be seen if rumour is true. De Laurentis (Napoli's owner) is not a fool and this deal doesn't seem too good for him. Yet, if he values Allan (rightfully! great player!) and want him and want to get rid of players he perceives as "dead wood" but which could be useful for Udinese or WFC, he's welcome.
Could probably offer those 2 a pay rise if required. Sherlock, has Inler been good past 2 years as he didnt play much last season ?
I'm going to regard this talk of Inler more as dreaming than speculation. This Di Marzio bloke or whatever it is is getting really quite annoying with his mostly made up rumours. He seems to catch wind that there has been contact between two clubs and then proceeds to make up whatever he fancies as a transfer rumour.
To me, Inler would be an incredible signing; I've liked him as a player for years, but that's part of why I don't believe it's likely to happen. Can cross our fingers though, I suppose he could be the new, mildly budget Cambassio, and he is 31. Perhaps at that age the idea of being able to play in the Prem would be significantly attractive/persuasive to him.
The bit in bold is something I've raised before. We're not exactly giving the most convincing impression that all three clubs are owned by and run by separate bodies if Gino keeps being involved in Udinese business.
I suppose it'll be a while before any of the three Pozzo teams compete in the same competition. I wonder if that ever happened if Gino could just legally disassociate himself from two of the clubs? Not really sure how that all works.
