With so many choices after the January purchases, id like to no what people THINK the midfield 4 will be tomorrow and who they WANT to see?

    Bangura
    Mahon (if fit)
    Cavilli
    Rinaldi
    Bouazza
    Smith
    Williams
    Macca
    Francis
    Williamson

    Choices!!
Personally i think it will be: Bouazza Francis Williamson Smith
Who id like to see: Bouazza Williams Francis Macca

Apologies if this has already been posted!

    If Mahon is fit:

    Noddy, Mahon, Francis, Bouazza

If Mahon isn't fit then it should be Bangura

We will go 4-3-3, reverting to 4-5-1 when defending.

    mahon
    francis williamson

    smith bouazza

A good shout Berko. Hendo or Kabba for me to play the lone striker role.

I like it, although id prefer

    -------mahon--------
    --Francis--Williamson--
    Macca-----------Boozer

What about bringing in Williams at half time for Francis if hes not playing to well. I definately think Williamson deserves a start. Stick Bangers on the bench with Smith or the brazlian ;D;D;D

We can be sure Bouazza and Mahon will play...

I think Williams is very key to Aidy's future plans to improve the quality of football we play and could come in whilst can Williamson replace Smith on the right?

However Francis has done better in the last few games to be fair.

we went 4-5-1/4-3-3 against Sheffield Utd and it went horribly wrong! I just think we're better when we play with width in a 4-4-2 system! I can't stand Noddy but we have no other options on the right hand side, we need to keep our formation as it is, I fear it's too late to change formation now! Need to stick with what we know!

It worked fine against Blackburn and West Ham so I see no reason to change it to be honest lads.

4-4-2 works best, of couse 4-5-1 would be th best midfield, 3-3-4 would be the best up front.

    i think:
    smith mahon/bangura williams bouazza

    i want the same

Based on the video ive seen i wouldnt mind seeing at least some of Rinaldi considering hes not going to be here for long.
I agree Williams may play some part but who do you drop? Does he play in the centre?

As long as Gavin Mahon isn't playing, i will be happy......poor excuse for footballer.

If he is playing, I will be the one hurling constant abuse in his direction.

He is the one who captained us to promotion and earlier in the season people were saying he was our best player. I would welcome him back to the side today.

  18. watford_away

    watford_away Squad Player

Yes and he is now leading us........to the championship! he has had his day, and i dont see any clubs trying to sign him for £9million! best player this season, i think not!

  19. GloryHornet3

And has he been our worst player though? Francis, Bangura, both have been more disappointing throughout the season.

  20. watford_away

    watford_away Squad Player

Yes, he has been our worst playe rthis season, watch him today- barely leaves the 2 centre circles and generally just points. Bangura is a far better player.

£9mil or not, he has been playing consistently a lot better than Young has so far this season and I'm sure most people on here would agree with me.

Him, Foster and Bouazza have been our best players this season.

lowerrous, the most laughable post i have ever seen!

Where is all the interest in Soooper Gav then?

Not really sure how you can say he has been our worst player?
Hes captained the side well this season and has been far more consistent than say Bangura who has yo-yo performances, this the case with Francis also.
Im sure he will start today and prove you wrong!

  24. watford_away

    watford_away Squad Player

Im sure he will not prove me wrong, he was out of his depth in the championship but was playing in a decent team (for that league).

He is getting found out big style this season, and if he is such a great super captain.

Why are we bottom of the league?

Where is all the interest in Soooper Gav?

  25. GloryHornet3

Weve had interest in one player, Ashley who has a bright future being young and has bags of talent and potential. Not all our players will get interest.

I didnt say he was our best player but my arguement is he is by no means the worst. One player will not keep us up and that is obvious.

Ok, ok can someone please tell me what our wonderful, wonderful captain was trying to achieve when Liverpool scored their first goal?

Does standing like a statue and making no attempt to stop the ball coming in/helping out to defend now make 'Soooper Gav' a good captain....

So one mistake makes a player our worst?? Try finding some videos on Francis and Bangura.

  28. watford_away

Im not saying one mistake does, but a catalogue of them certaintly confirms it!

You cannot defend him in that video clip anyway, just pure...... idcant even saya word for it.

what a prize tw*t he is.

Yes....Gavin must be blamed for all the goals let in,chances missed and penalties given away.

    ;D

Just because he does not run around with pace shooting from everywhere does not mean he is crap.

Give me Mahon over Francis any day!

  30. watford_away

    watford_away Squad Player

You have almost summed him up to a tee there.

    No pace

    Can't shoot

Fails to make passes without falling over!

Generally just stand there and points

So, are all these attributes what we need in a captain?

Thank goodness Aidy is picking the team;)

It has to be said though that Francis has played about 4 very good games in a row now after a very poor run.

On the other hand Bangbang looks a bit out of his depth. Lee Williamson should be given a chance and then we have Gareth Williams to come.

However, all the criticism about Williams is to do with his work ethic. Apparently he is a quality passer of the ball but needs to put the effort in - if Aidy can get this out of him then he will have a place for the future.

Not saying it's what I want, but think it will be.

    Foster

    Aidy - Danny - Malky - Stewart

    Smith - Mahon - Francis - Williams.

    Hendo - Hameur

Bench: Lee - JD - Williamson - Kabba - Hoskins
