Give the guy a chance... he's got the most succesful england manager of recent years as his assistant so he has someone to learn from. Also, there's the small matter of who you replace him with (given he was the best the FA had to choose from just 8 months ago)!!!
Never wanted him, even when we won the first game (friendly) i said to my mates don't be fooled. I think if the F.A do decide to sack Maclaren it should be after the Estonia game, that way the club side should be less affected.
Sorry but he should go, how difficult can it be to motivate someone to play their guts out for their country. If they don't get in a player that will. He picks the team he's to blame. Yes the players aren't given their all so get in players that are. Rooney playing poor for club and country all he wanted to do last night was fight he should of been sub'd at half time. Nugent top player gives his all, so he doesn't play for one of the big four and doesn't have the bank ballance of the Rooney's in the team but he'd play for the honour of wearing the shirt so many of the team don't.
Doobie derious, please do be serious. The Fa tried to appoint the portugal mangaer and when he turned them down they offered Mclaren the job and gave it all the 'It's great to have an englishman back in charge'. Bunch of idiots they are, Mclaren out, watford_away in.
I say he stays. We discussed this last night and if England qualify we'll pop down to Switzerland for a week next July and watch us lose a couple of games. If we don't qualify we're all going away together with families in tow somewhere hot and watch the games by the pool. Long live McLaren
at the end of the day i do want him sack but i do feel that the players are not playing for the shirt there was only 2 or 3 players on wed what stood out and really wanted to win the rest of them where shocking did not want to play for the shirt so what im trying to say is maybe the players should be partly to blame?
Not sure you quite got the point I was trying to make so I'll try and clarify... When The FA appointed Malcolm, the situation was a bit like Aidy trying to get a striker in the January window... The one's we wanted didn't wanna come, and the ones who did probably weren't the right choice for a quick win but may prove themselves over time. I think The FA went with the latter of the two. And I'm not convinced that there is anyone better right now queing up to take over I stand by my vote - for now Malcolm should stay
