It was reported in the WO he had an injury but must be ok. Good move for Gavin..only a league below us (for now)
Yeah, not too bad. Shame cos I'd like to see him a lot more in the first team but I'm a bit biased seeing as I know him xD Hoping he'll come back and get more regular games, especially if Weimann goes back in January
I must say, I'm not surprised he's gone out seeing as the amount of strikers we have at the moment is historic, but still, a shame. Still, at least he's not sold
I shall keep my ear to the ground on for performance reports and may even pop in to catch a game. Yeovil Town is turning into Watford in disguise. Dominic Blizzard, Billy Gibson and now Massey!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14888010.stm It's official. Really hope it works out for the lad. I want him challenging for a place here this time next season.
One month.. not the best loan duration.. I seriously hope he's going to be getting the maximum amount of games from that time..
He's only signed a 1 month deal as no one can know right now whether it will work out or not. If not, he will return after a month. If it does work out, Yeovil will likely want to extent his deal, as will we. Simples.
One month with 6 games in to possibly play in,he needs to gain some 1st team experience on a regular basis.
Came off the bench after 60-odd minutes in tonights 1-0 win against Colchester and according to his own twitter feed should have scored twice. Skinned the United full-back a few times too. Good to see him get on and play, will hopefully get a few goals in the next month.
From the Yeovil FC website match report: With twenty minutes left, Agard was withdrawn for new signing Gavin Massey, a like for like change replacing speed with speed. The Watford youngster looked very impressive in his new surroundings and the Huish Park faithful warmed immediately to the eighteen year old. Massey worked hard up front in the final stages of the game and, with one impudent movement, left Foster for dead but sent his shot spinning just wide of the far post for what would have been a sensational debut goal.
Went down and watched the Colchester game today and Massey looked very sharp, had a very high work level and put himself about a lot, to the extent that he got booked and gave away the free kick for the first Colchester goal. Looked a really good keen young player and on what i saw today we'd be mad to let him move elsewhere. When his loan runs out would suggest we get him back and play him as he certainly looked good enough for the Championship on what I saw today.
Having some pace should enhance his chances.. Not the tallest though so thumping long balls to the lad's head might not be such a good idea.
