Then we have Abdi who can play in the middle. And then obviously Connor Smith before the last resort, Guedioura.
True lets keep one of them hanging around in the background for that potential 3-4 games a season cameo appearance. Behrami is already allegedly unhappy about lack of match time, you want to add another ??
You'd guess that surely soon we're going to start having a few injuries, having had barely any so far. Only Behrami and Jurado have been out for any length of time.
A few yes but we play 2 DMs and don't need 2 excellent DMs as frustrated cover on the off-chance. One of the injuries was for a DM and we coped. We now have a player fed up as he's not playing. If we buy Suarez for £8m we drop Watson and have either him or Behrami on the bench and the other potentially not even in the matchday squad ? Personally I'd assume Behrami will go if Suarez signs. It's upfront we really need to strengthen as we have no adequate cover at all.
I'd be unhappy if he wasn't unhappy as they say. 4 games is more than 10% of the campaign and 12 points could be worth millions of pounds in the final finishing positions. But the need will be for more games than that.
We disagree then...which is fine ! I don't think we'll have 2/3 of our DMs unavailable for >4 games, I don't think that signing a 4th DM will guarantee 12 points, and I don't think any of the 4 will be prepared to be 4th choice and play just 4 games a season. I think if he comes in, one of the 3 will go.
Giuseppe Cervini @GiuseppeCervini 2h2 hours ago #MarioSuarez is close to signing for Watford, personal terms close to being agreed.
Is this the first time we have ever 'allegedly' beaten a proper big club (Liverpool) to a player? :happy1::confused1::]]
Richard Hill was wanted by some bigger clubs, I seem to even remember talk of the then massive Liverpool, when GT signed him. Only mentioning it to the others on the forum though. I know you have suspended me for reason of being a ****. Why you'd ignore me because your a **** though I'm not sure.

I thought Macca turned down the big clubs after he'd established himself with us, but I could be wrong. That said, he was a star player at Rangers, who were a genuine big club at the time and I remember Rangers fans coming down to see him play saying their gates had dropped since his sale. Fantastic player.
Best centre back we've ever had. He had everything, pace, strength and great in the air...still can't believe he played for us.
Was an utter **** to me when he trained my primary school football team. Used to boot the ball down the other end of the very long field and tell me to do several laps before collecting it. All because I wasn't listening to him or something, didn't really hear what he said.
No, you're right. I remembered the story about him meeting Fergie and GT and choosing us. I forgot Fergie was still at Aberdeen then rather than Man Utd. Although they did win the Cup Winners Cup the year before!
According to a guy on the Italian Watford supports Facebook page he's signed a 2 year deal for 6.5 million euros
Anyone else get excited when they see Harris has posted something during a transfer window? Just me? Ok...
I remember the first time I saw him play, that 4-5 home defeat to Everton I think, and when he first ran I thought "the guy can't even run properly". He had this odd action he looked like he didn't get past cruising speed. Deceptive though, as it was quickly evident in that match that NO-ONE ever out-paced him, he always calmly came away with the ball, totally un-fussed. Agree, potentially our best ever CH.
The 4-5 home defeat to Everton was Tony Coton's first match, McClelland didn't join us until about 6 weeks later. I think Steve Sherwood said that had we signed McClelland earlier then he would have kept his place and we'd not have bought Coton.
His pace was quality. He seemed to be able to run just fast enough for who he was up against and make it look strangely effortless.
Ah yes. Remember looking at TC's face as he turned to pick the ball out of the net yet again obviously thinking "what the hell am I doing here". JM was our best ever CH and TC was our best ever keeper, really should have played for England. Pretty good transfers that Autumn ! Speaking of which, still no news on Mario this morning ?
Apprently, Marseille have dropped their interest, so unless Liverpool are still interested then we're his only suitors.
