I'm not joking when I say this but Steve Sidwell could do a lot worse than come here on loan til January. He's not even warming the bench at Chelski and we could give them an immediate call back clause. In January we should have one of Francis or Williams back. Sidwell would contend for a place with Mahon and that is one position where there is no real competition.
A serious suggestion I know, but even if we did put an offer in, who is to say they will accept or even he will. I expect that if we do get a loan in, it will be a Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool reserve team player.
yep i cant see getting any loan deals unless stewart gets a serious injury i.e out for 6 months or something, as we would need cover/competition for parkes, then i dont think we will get anyone in
If Parkes is out we will need a left back, though i still feel we need cover on the wing and a c/b because Jackson has proven that he is next to useless and that selling Carlisle was a mistake (imo) So 2/3 players for me...not that i'm greedy!
Only a suggestion but Phil Bardsley might be available? Think Sir Alex has a good relationship with Aidy...think Bardsley likes to get forward but i don't know to much about him. On the Wing see Routledge might be leaving spurs so a possible signing CB Fitz Hall is leaving Wigan...now that would be interesting if Aidy made a move for him
I think Aidy will look for a LB but can we really expect to get someone like Bardsley in as cover for Jordan Stewart - I don't think so. If both Jordans were out then it would be a different matter. We do have quite a bit of cover already at full back. We would probably have to switch Lloyd to LB and Mariappa or Osborne would go RB. Routledge is extremely unlikely and do we need another bench-warmer? Fitz Hall would be interesting given his little tiff with Aidy. I actually think he is a better central midfielder and could be a Gav replacement - he could cover at centre half as needed.
pretty sure bardsley is a right back routledge would be a good shout if hes willing to drop down a division to play for us which i dunno if he would be willing to i say nothing about fitz lol
I think we could get Routledge, as for him being another bench warmer i disagree. Think we've tried to sign him before and he could be very good for us. We havent actually got another winger i have faith in at the moment (on a consistent basis) so there is no one really to push Jobi and Tommy (who i admit are both doing well at the moment) Probably right about the l/b situation
Would have to be an Arsenal/United/Liverpool/Chelsea reserve for the lb spot since we already have our starter in Jordan Stewart.
Were we not after Routlege the season that he went on loan to Fulham? This would be a positive foreward thinking move as in my opinion the boy is class and is good enough for the premiership.
Aidys gonna put up with what we've got i think For a while i thought he would bring in a winger but Maccas performed well and even Campanas getting a chance so i think he'll wait now till January As for LB, he'll risk it for sure.. Demerits played there once or twice dont forget
Mariappa and Osbourne can play as left back if desperate aswell. Avinel, Campana, Hoskins need to go out on loan for sure. Hoskins put a recall any time though.
please dont quote me on this but I heard on another forum that Joran parkes has done his metatarsal (that bone Rooney mucked up)
been mentioned alot of times in this thread about a broken foot but no specifics if it is his metartarsal thts defo a long lay off
Depends, not a first team player really so wouldn't be major news for the website to report (and the site is slow anyway!)
were talking about the official site he'll have returned from injury before they have a news article up
just to set the rumour straight, I know Jordan, and I can assure you he has done his metertarsal maybe because he's not a 1st team regular they haven't mentioned it, sure it will be in the rag friday!
Don't be afraid Doug - we'll be fine. Jay, Mariappa and Lloyd can all cover that left back in a squeeze.
