Tucking into my full english just after 8AM I gave little thought to defeat at Anfield - judging how we'd played against Liverpool up there in the cup with a much worse team I was confident we could at least get a point.

Hastily finishing my breakfast we bundled into Rich's car and made our way towards the motorway where to combat the inevitable long distance boredom, we sung along to RHCP, Beach Boys and many other classic artists. A few sneaky beers were consumed, much like most away days - before I had a hard-earned rest with an hour or so of sleep.

Arriving at the ground just after 2pm my excitement increased, having never been to Anfield I was obviously excited about the experience ahead of me - little old Watford playing at big old Anfield. Passing the Hillsborough memorial observing a respectful silence I entered the ground and saw a sea of yellow in the concourse area, not a hideous wig or clapper stick in sight!

The game itself was alright, even though we lost. I still think it's just a matter of time before Henderson notches his first of the season before many others, but he desperately needs a partner - Young isn't a fully fledged striker. We had a few good chances and Al Bangura especially will be rueing missed opportunities - the story of our season - as two lapses in concentration at the back cost us dear. However the Watford fans still did make good noise and outsung the suprisingly below-par Anfield faithful.

After a nice KFC in a corbey service station I arrived home just after half 10 to review the days action on MOTD - We didn't play all that badly but our lack of efficiency in front of goal let us down.

    You 'Orns!
