Not been on for a couple of days but a few rumours doing the rounds that marlon is off to Villa Park, obviously after the 31st may early bird deadline;)

I think Villa would be silly to put in an offer big enough for us to accept until he's proven himself next season. Transfer window maybe? I hope that Ash is still near enough for them to stay friends and Marlon is happy to stick with us and help with our inevitable domination of the fizzy pop league.

If we are offered silly money for him like ASH then we cant turn it down but I dont see it happening.

IF in the end Marlon does leave, then it was a very poor decision by Aidy to come out the other week saying that there is no way he'll be going anywhere. If you remember he said that we would be copying West Brom's approach in recent seasons - simple reply to any offers... 'NO'.

It all comes down to whether the player wants to stay. I think Marlon does, whereas Shittu probably doesn't.

I don't think Marlon will go anywhere and I am sure Aidy has seen how West Brom and to some extent Birmingham have held on to key players and finished with a good season.

We need to let the squad-ish players go, the ones that only ever get in the side if we have two or three injuries. We need to get rid of players disrupting the unity - if there are such players. And we need to bring players in who will die for the cause. It's that simple

I don't want King to leave, but if the offer is good enough...

I think you will find a higher % of the things I am told come to fruition than not.

Fact; Marlon was told he wouldn't play.

Marlon travelled to Villa park but his kit didn't.

Aidy then decided it may be worth a gamble and someone then drove from Birmingham back to London Colney to pick up Marlons match kit.

So at the time the info was 100& correct, Aidy changing his mind at the 11th hour was the only reason he played.

Now there is no substance to this other than my own assumption but I wouldn't bet against the only reason king played again this season was to prove his fitness.

i hope I am wrong and he does stay and bag a hatfull next season but the rumours suggest otherwise.

as a side note i was also told a while back that his new house in Boxmoor that he had only just moved in to was on the market.

Are Villa after more strikers (they have a few I think?) then...

Hope its not true and I do feel a Premiership side won't take any risk on Marlon YET but in the future....

Personally I am certain that Marlon will remain loyal until atleast January, but if we're not doing well enough THEN he will go...

I would have thought Villa would be able to afford to buy a better and more proven striker than King if they wanted.
