He would be a really good signing but im not sure if we would need him if King stays, but if King goes I would love him to be playing here with Ellington up front

I agree. There is no way Roberts will want to come here and play micky mouse football at this stage of his career! He's a Premiership striker, scored a good winner yesterday at Bolton...he's big, strong, quick and a good finisher...no way will we get him! My guess is he'll end up at somewhere like Middlesbrough or Fulham.
Maybe friendship makes a difference in Neverland or Wonderland but in the real world of professional football I don't think it matters one bit. If he signs for us and states he came to play with the Duke and not for the money - I'll eat my hat.

I do apologise for my Neverland/Wonderland remark. They were uncalled for - this is the rumours section and you posted a rumour. I find it highly unlikely but as you state in your very first post - you have no proof and are just relaying someone elses statements. Fair enough - sorry.
before you smash all your toys up, all I asked is where did you here this and I also put apart from the 606 bit, the rest was a light bit of humour and theres no need to get upset over it, to be honest if you cant comfirm or even reveal your source its not really worth posting

IMHO the only way he will come here is if King goes!!! Then it would not be so unrealistic!!! He had a great partnership with Ellington in the past and he might like the idea of teaming up with him again, as I believe they are still big buddies.
I'm not saying he's in Anelka's league but I imagine he would be a good replacement for him at Bolton. As with us if we were to sell King, they'll never get a replacement anywhere near as good or spend anywhere near as much money on the replacement as they sold Anelka for.
