Think this is probably a non-story, as he's a right winger. Certainly not a position we need a player for.

This is exactly the sort of calibre I was expecting Sarr/Dennis/Pedro to be replaced with this summer

 

Funnily enough he'd have been our top scorer 2 seasons ago!

 

Rather have Arthur. Kalu and I enjoyed watching the Mr Men together.

Can he play up front? Probably not the worst option out there, but we already have a few similar level players, we need a marquee signing now

So, so average. Had a purple patch a couple seasons ago with Swansea where he looked alright, been a middle of the road championship player since. No from me.

 

With the amount of money recouped and saved in wages I think we should be doing considerably better than 'not the worst'.

As a Sarr replacement as a right winger to give us more tactical flexibility, Lowe would be good, as a main striker...nah

 

Has it really come to this. Picking up 28 yo scraps from Muff reserves.

 

Literally no point in bringing in players with no resale value, unless they are so good that they'll "destroy this league" imo.

Saw a lot of this lad when he was playing for St Albans City and Hemel Hempstead Town. He eventually joined Hampton and Richmond and then enjoyed a pretty rapid rise. Spent a couple of years at Portsmouth before moving to Wigan, then Swansea (where he scored against us and celebrated into Ben Foster's GoPro) and eventually Bournemouth.

This is exactly the sort of signing people mean when they talk about looking in the lower divisions. When he was at Portsmouth he was definitely worth a punt. When people bemoan the club's lack of scouting in the lower divisions, he's exactly the sort of player that would have been on the radar if that was where they were looking. Not sure he's done enough at Championship level since to really suggest he's what we need but would be a decent replacement for Sarr, if he does end up leaving.

 

People say look into lower divisions for young players, not 28 year olds.

 

Going for the Lowe hanging fruit, eh?

 

He was a young player four years ago when he had his first good season at Portsmouth.

Yes. He would have been an interesting signing 4 years ago, granted. I think when you have players of real quality on the most important areas of the pitch, you can then supplement the squad with this type of signing.
