I'm satisfied with this in the cup but if we play like that in the league we deserve to go down:rant:

I love Aidy`s comment to Oxley.

`If it remained 0-0 I was going to say forget all that enjoy yourselves crap, but as it is we will continue with it - it took to 85 minutes until we started playing`

To date, we've made £220,000 in prize money by winning these three cup ties. Prize money for winning in the next round is £300,000 as well as £265,000 if we get a live TV tie (which we should as there are only 4 games). Not a bad little supplement for our finances!

I cant believe that disallowwed goal... and they hit the bar twice! They had more shots than us and i even forgot they had 10 men!

Money is always good but it's not a prob at the moment.

Very useful though - if we get a live TV game in the next round the FA Cup has paid for Kabba.

I think we might be turning a corner. This was like the poor performances last season - still able to snatch a last min win, thinks are looking up imo.
Who cares if it was a championship side, if we were in the championship side playing bottom prem side we'd expect (as fans) for the team to put up a fight. That's what Ispwich did, they may have had more shots, but we won, that's all that matters this evening.

Mahon was dire. Richard Lee was poor, no communication with the defence.
Everyone except Cavalli was second to every ball.

Beautiful move for the goal though. And we should have had another when I'm sure it was headed out from behind the line. Will watch it carefully on MOTD, if I can stay awake long enough to see us on last.

Lol quit whining those who are. We're in the hat, let that be the end of it, we normally have a shyte game followed by a good one, that was the sh*t one out the way, bring on wigan:)

Saved me saying it! Lee was poor, Mahon was diabolical. Ipswich wanted it more than we did, and I certainly wouldn't bother watching MOTD. Goal was superb though, what a move.

that was feckin awful, most undeserving win in a long time! they hit the bar 3 times or something and they just wanted the win more than us, even down to 10 men nothing changed.....

Who was the Ipswich player who was mortally wounded, rolling about on the mud expecting the ball to be put out of play and when he saw the ball go past him he jumped up and chased after it? That was so funny! :]]

totally agree with you there as well Admin. Lee had an absolute shocker but i thought Jay was the worse p[layer on the park by a long way. I can't stand Smith but i thought him and Mariappa played well along with Hendo and Cavalli. I can certainly see why we might be last on MOTD tonight as well, no complaints there!

  32. UEA_Hornet

No chance. I have a leak of the script for MOTD tonight. Here's the bit related to our match today:

...[Jug Ears] Ha ha ha, exactly Alan. Anyway, in our final match tonight lowly Premiership club Watford hosted Championship outfit Ipswich at Vicarage Road. A Boring Commentator was at the game for us.

[ABC] Watford comfortably overcame 10 man Ipswich to win this match. After much pressure in the 88th minute Tommy Smith played a ball into the box and former Norwich player Damien Francis fired home the winner. Watford will progress to the Quarter Finals.

[Jug Ears] So, that's it for another FA Cup Fifth Round weekend. We do hope you'll join us next week. Goodnight!

    First Things First...

I just got in this second and i have to say that was the most appauling playing i have ever seen.

Not only were we just standing there and waiting for the ipswich players to take the ball, and THEN just watching them run around with it but..

and its not often i say this..

Whoever i argued with about our support being rubbish, i retract any statement that i have made of our support being good because, not only were the ipswich fans drowning out any measly nosie we tried to make but their chant "your support is sh*t" was dead on.

    Terrible day out.

Oh but i was impressed with pint size cavalli. he seemed to be the only one actually trying to get the ball back!
