Its that time of year again! I shall buy The Daily Mail every day and have the radio on in my office to see how Tim, our great British hope is doing. My packed lunch includes strawberries and robinsons barley water.

What will YOU be doing to support our greatest living sports personality?

Remember, he is the only man alive capable of bringing a sense of pride back into British sport.

    Tiger Tim - Rar!

A less tigrish fellow you could not hope to meet than our Tim. Whoever thought up that alliterative nickname wants shooting.

    Suggested alternatives;
    ****ty Timmi
    Two round Tim
    Homely Henman
    Turgid Timothy

No. His best chance was in 2001 when Ivanisevic won it. Other times he has been up against the best grass court players in the world in Sampras, Federer etc.

Tiger Tim will never win Wimbledon. He is just there to bring in the masses.

I think he is great, as he is one of the few sportsman from this country who is not a complete ******, does not spend his time getting pissed and starting fights, and is generally not a bigoted, arrogant ***.

I hope he wins it, but with federer around it is unlikely anybody at all will even challenge.

He played some good tennis yesterday though, so you can always hope. Even it is only hope...

Prefer him to that ****** Murray though.

Henman hill all the way! Murray Mount?? Sounds like a pathetic position in the Karma-Sutra...

Im not going to kid myself and say he might win it of course he will not but im not going to give him stick and it annoys me when people give him stick as they have no idea what they are on about. He has never been that great but has allways punched above his wieght and entertained the fans and does a great job. why people are turning on him i have no idea other then they must be sheeps who listen to what others say instead of actually making there own judgement.

you called him a pr1ck is there anything you can say to back that up. i find you personally a very sad person based on all your other threads you seem to not really have any idea what your talking about, you just talk rubbish.

You have to remember this is a guy who was once the 4th best player in the world!

It annoys me so much when he gets critisism, he is one of the best British tennis players since Fred Perry, and yes, he won't win Wimbledon, but you don't see people slagging off Liverpool or Arsenal for being the 4th best team in just England, and they are supposedly some of the best teams ever...

Give him a break, he might just suprise you if you do...

I would love to see Timmeee win a Grand Slam, but with the exception of Henmam Hill, Sue Barker and Annabel Croft, everyone else knows it won't be Wimbledon. Yet every year the latter two roll out and start wetting themselves that 'this will be his year'.

And it's started this year already. Yesterday we had Annabel Croft heralding The Tiger's herculean victory over Moya - a player who (with the exception of 2004) has found an excuse every year to avoid playing Wimbledon and has a worse track record with grass than George Michael!

I think everyone just loves to hate Tim, each year he builds up our hopes (well the press do...), he plays well, battles hard giving people belief...then gallantly fails, but still smiles and clenches his fist!!

Often it seems the rain has started as he's started to gain an advantage, thereby giving his opponent a chance to get back into the match an example being the epic match against Goran Ivanisevic.

I hate watching him because i seem to suffer regular nervous breakdowns (but of course that seem to be one of the strange appeals in watching the 'orns! ;))

At least he entertained, had everything that game :( Thought he was gonna do it at one point but that would have been too easy. Instead that game summed up his career at Wimbledon imo
