Hendo Carp Or Class??

has had the season from hell, some games fully up for it, yet others, seems to drift in and out.

seems to miss all the easy chances, and can make the wrong run, just as the ball comes his way.

even with our long ball games, still finds it hard to get the knock downs etc.

but having said all that, fizzy pop his more at his level, and i feel positive he will be back in amongst the goals next year.

thats if the club let mk, re start, the partnership from last year

 

You are possibly right that Hendo is not good enough for the Prem. Now that he has got one goal (albeit a penalty) under his belt I am interested to see how he does in the coming games. Maybe he will relax a bit and put away some of the easier chances that come his way.

Carp he aint. Class - be happier to answer that question in a months time.

 

He's been relatively ineffective this season but you have to question if that is the player or the way he's being asked to play...

His record last year was much better but as has been stated on these boards many times it was against weaker opposition (in the main) and he was playing with a strike partner in a rich vein of form

How many times this season have we seen the ball flicked on into empty space?!?!?

Hendo's season is a reflection of our tactics - loads of graft and endeavour but no polish. It hasn't helped Darius in any form the way we have played our game this season.

With the right support, Darius can make an impact on the premiership - wait til next season, premiership goals.

Class!

Okay so he hasn't scored more than the one penalty BUT:

He's been without a recognised striker to partner him and for most parts been fighting two high class centrebacks alone.

He never gives less than 100% - despite what some idiotic fans have said he's fought hard and even if goals didn't come for him he's set up a few.

His ability as target man is a big assett to the team - we just didn't have anyone who could properly exploit his work.

Finally - to step up and dispatch of the penalty shows bo11ox that could explain HornetCarly's infatuation with Big Doris.

 

Doris has worked his socks off in alot of games but hasnt got the service he needs. Hopefully start a goal spree now and save us from the drop.

I think he'll be an asset next season regardless of what league we're playing in. Last season he proved that he's a goalscorer at championship level so we've no worries about next year if we go down, especially with King back, Kabba looking good and Hoskins playing at a more suitable level for his development.

Should we stay up, he'll make a decent back up striker, always worth having on the bench if we need to mix it up a bit. Should we stay up though i'd probably prefer to see a more proven target man. Same style player to Hendo, just a bit better.

Class when he has a partner up front you compliments his strengths. Average when he doesn't.

He has a place in the side regardless of division, I feel a lot of his contribution goes unnoticed.

All strikers have slow patches, unfortunatelty we had no back up to cover him. Hoepfuly this is a turning point and with soem more appropriate partners up front he'll start banging them in again.

for a player who was really good last season we all expected him to do really well this season but he has really not had the luck infront of goal but lets hope he got his scoreing toach back now but next season im sure he will do great for us

back in the day when i was about 16 i use to scoree every weekend for my local side me and hendo would make a great team up front and carly i would put in a good word for ya lol ;D

because he is more like a carp, in the sense that he is a fish out of water. ah ha ha ha. and fishes can't score from open play.

 

I would like to say that the reason hendo had been in the team so long without scoring was because he was so great, but i cant tell a lie.
