Hey guys I maybe an expert in software development, but I am clueless when it comes to hardware on a deeper level. Anyway, a friend of mine suggested I clean my PC of dust and debris that may of built up over the last six months or so. I heard about PC Air Blowers and looked on Amazon, and my lord quite the selection. Does it really matter which one I get? I mean, I know a computer has a lot of moving parts that needs cleaning such as the fans and coolers. Obviously the graphics card and CPU might have fans as well as the case fans. They all do the same job, some come with little attachment nozzles and brushes. I did look online for help but I got so many mixed replies, and I know a few of you guys are pretty up-to-date on technology. Any help, or one to recomend appreciated! xx
Hi Skyla, I have a colleague at work who is a keen gamer - I reckon he'll probably have a similar product. I'll speak to him tomorrow and let you know if he can provide any suggestions.
Just stick with a simple can of PC appropriate compressed air. There's really no need to invest in a blower. As you clean the fans, make sure you gently "jam" the fan blade somehow (finger, pencil, screwdriver, etc) just to stop it spinning.
Hi @SkylaRose - I thought I’d text my colleague and ask while it was my mind. He’s suggested this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dusters-EG-1000-UK-Electric-Air-Duster/dp/B073F9NY1X/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=keyboard+air+blower&qid=1691358170&sprefix=keyboard+ai,aps,78&sr=8-10 Whilst it’s a little more expensive that some of the other products out there, he speaks very highly of it and says he’s got no complaints all and strongly recommends it. Hope this helps!
Thank you @wfcwarehouse for the information I will certainly look into that. Also thank you to everybody else who has offered advice on how to go about it. Much appriciated.
