Always the risk with loan players, he clearly doesn't care about the club

We have to play Morris who overall has played better on merit. Kamara had his chance today and cost us the game.

No. But I'd take the LB who didn't commit regular game changing mistakes regularly.

Goodness know what Udinese fans must think of their club spending 16 million on this guy.

I guess they are comforted by the £10m loan fee we are paying for him this season.

"in that moment, to make that kind of a decision, it's like, f**k, it's unacceptable" - Bilic regarding the first goal.

He most certainly has his flaws, but I do like that he is straight talking.

New left back needed in the next few days. Throw a few hundred grand at Swansea for Manning and see what they say.

    Very poor - twice .

Should have cleared the ball first then was all over the place trying to clear it off the line scrabbling around .

Interesting kept clean sheets in the league then kamara comes back in ,player of the year last season, he is right up there for the clangers title this absolutely horrendous get Morris back in at least he has got some form of concentration as kamara is like a kid in a sweet shop

Hopefully sema is back next week and we won’t have to see him again. As much negative comments he gets, imo at this level he is more then useful

I'd bench him permanently. Send a message out that sort of performance is unacceptable.

Still time to get Barco...:p (via Udinese)

Maybe now the window is closing. Couldn’t before then to protect his value. Irrespective of his level of performance, no chance anyone would pay £20m+ for a player not good enough for our starting XI. Now we can drop him….not sure we will though !

To be fair, it's pretty obvious that Morris wouldn't have made that mistake yesterday...

He would still have been about 10 yards away from Archer when he took the touch, running through treacle.

I don't think he was ever that good.

Granted, in the PL he wasn't performing just as bad as he is now, but I think his personality won people over early on.

There are a lot of idiots fans out there whose opinions of a player are influenced by their social media persona/giving fans shirts, etc. And then, on top of that, plenty of people whose opinions are influenced by the likes of those WD18 kids who become fan boys of him due to his personality.

Kabasele is a prime example. A horrendous centre back who some fans still rate due to his personality.

Just another, in the long list, of poor signings made by the club.

EDIT: changed 'idiots' to 'fans' in case it read as a personal attack to TVoR, which was not the intention but could have been misread that way.

He made errors last season v Man C, Brentford and Leeds I remember .

Now it probably didn’t matter as we were doomed anyway but certainly had it been other players wound have been picked up on.

You say Morris wouldn't of got there, your probably right but Morris wouldn't of been last man in the first place , kamara has the pace and was there to do a job and defend he failed miserably ,concentration is horrendous since he come back into the team had enough of Mr clanger

I think he's always been somewhat useful as an attacking force, but utterly inept as a defender. It was enough to 'stand out' from our sorry bunch last season, but now that we are expecting something more than embarrasing ourselves every game, he's been exposed for who he is

The idea that he was anything but dreadful in the Prem last season is the biggest myth going. He was completely undisciplined and at fault for a good proportion of our the goals we conceded in the second half of that season, making the exact sort of mistakes then that he is making now. He was a total liability then and is a total liability now.

I’m glad people are starting to realise this as I genuinely thought I was going mad or there was some weird running joke that I wasn’t in on.

Had Morris been in that position I doubt he'd have attempted the kamara-ikaze charge at Archer....there was also the possibility of trying to drop off him a little and force him into a decision...he may have still got the shot away, but I doubt Morris would have tied his legs together to prevent him from clearing a soft header off the line.

Morris would have caught the man at knee height and taken the red like a real defender.

Not sure he’d have got close enough to him at first, but he’d have realised that and adjusted.

I already said back in Jan last year when we were still in the PL soon after we signed Kamara:

"Kamara wasn't actually that good on his debut, people on here were just delighted that he wasn't Rose or Masina".

I also agreed with @RS2 back in August in this thread when he said he was "pretty average" and my comment then also still seems pertinent. He's too erratic and gets "panicked/rattled a bit too often".

"Also with the fact that Masina was so terrible it wasn't particularly difficult for him to appear an improvement.

He seems panicked/rattled a bit too often, and as I've mentioned a few times he doesn't get forward and provide an attacking impetus as much as he could.

He's fine for the Championship for the time being still."

At fault for the equaliser, and then very lucky not to give away a penalty, he's always been a liability in defence...

I agree with your first two points but not your last, he actually played well other than those errors.
