Is there particular hate amongst Watford'ers for Leeds?
Or just in general amongst English fans?

Why so? ...other than not being Watford, of course.

I think its a f*****g disgrace, How can you send one team down without another? You dont sell a Argentine international for 2 million, were getting more than twice than that Hammeur!

I'm not sticking up for Leeds but its a joke.

    They'll get theirs.

    I believe in karma.

Let them enjoy the fruits of their shameless, brass necked cheating. There will be a sledgehammer coming to spoil it all for them.

It might take years to arrive, but arrive it will. Just ask any Leeds fan.

    Leeds hit with 15-point penalty

Bates believes the League One club are now in a good position
Leeds have received permission to play in League One this season after being granted their Football League share but must do so with a 15-point deduction.
The club have appealed against the sanction imposed by the Football League and their case will be heard at a special meeting of all league clubs.

Doubts had been raised over Leeds' future after the club failed to agree a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).

The Football League accepted there were "exceptional circumstances".

Report: Leeds Utd given 15-point penalty

But in making their decision, it was stressed they could not allow Leeds to operate outside the strict rules concerning administration.

    606: DEBATE
Give your reaction to the latest developments at Leeds Utd

Leeds are back under the control of Ken Bates after administrators KPMG sold the club to him for an undisclosed sum.

The CVA would have allowed Leeds to pay off an acceptable amount of their debts to creditors.

"The Football League Board agreed that, notwithstanding the manner in which this administration has been conducted, the club should be permitted to continue in the Football League," said a statement.

"Consequently, the board has decided to make use of the 'exceptional circumstances' provision within the League's insolvency policy, for the first time, and agreed to transfer the club's share in The Football League to LeedsUnited 2007 Ltd. Accordingly, the club's share has now been transferred.

"However, it is acknowledged the club did go into administration and has been unable to comply with the terms of the League's well-established insolvency policy.

"As a result, the board determined this transfer of membership should be subject to Leeds United having a 15-point deduction applicable from the beginning of the 2007/08 season.

"Leeds subsequently have lodged an appeal against this sanction, which will be heard at a special meeting of all League clubs, to be arranged in due course."

Football League chairman Lord Mawhinney met with both KPMG and Bates, telling them to change the CVA, which governs how much creditors will get.

How the Mighty fall.....and how the rest of us laugh..lol lol :party1::sign1::sign1::sign12:

That's pretty funny Birdy...how many more left? 270 some odd?

The Galaxy's main rival in the early years was the "San Jose Clash" who folded. The Riot Squad claimed credit.

A replacement team emerged, known as the "San jose Earthquakes", but they dressed in a blue color reminiscent of the Smurfs, hence we called them "San Jose Smurfs". The owner couldn't make money so they relocated the team out of California taking orange as the team colors, and naming themselves Houston Dynamo. We now call them "Oompa Loompas" rather than smurfs due to their orange suits and diminutive stature. The Riot Squad claimed credit for their exit then too.

Now the Oakland A's baseball team is trying to reanimate the corpse of the "San Jose Earthquakes"...predictably, The Riot Squad are plotting their demise already.

    They never learn...

Fantastric news! Master Bates, Wise and the Leeds deserve what they are getting.:)

On another note, have they still got Loach on trial for a potential loan as they seem to be linked with other keepers as well? It will be a good test for him to be playing at a club that must be down on their knees.

D-Day for Leeds tomorrow. The Football League chairmen vote on their appeal against the points deduction. Interestingly they aren't bound to vote solely on the basis of whether they agree it was part of the rules or not. They can vote, for example, to maintain the punishment because it benefits their club :]] That's 23 League One votes in the bag.
