Hello guys, Danish Hornet here, actually travelling to Watford early Tuesday morning for my second match of the season (first one was Blackpool home)just wanting to say hello...my first WFC experience were a few years back, a home match vs pompey and a easy 3-0 win, been over around 15 times incl 6 matches in the premier league, and always looking forward to see the lads live.. Regards and UP THE HORNETS
why not, always been fed up with gloryseeking manure, liverpool and spurs supporters, and after watching plenty of english footie in the 80', the magic of Allan Nielsen:naughty: I started to support the Hornets but it where my trip over to the Portsmouth match I started to travel over...
No it's fine, but I really was surprised that I could almost make out what you were saying...remarkable how similar the languages are. EDIT: Almost as similar as English to American...
Welcome to the boards my friend, it is especially nice to welcome a supporter from overseas Lets hope your visit brings us luck on Tuesday, we could certainly do with some!!!
Well it is true that beer in pubs cost a fortune. However you can buy a pint of lager in a shop for around 30p and that's not too bad. Mind you the current strength of the £ meanss everything everywhere will be expensive to you guys. The difference in buying from shop/pub means most Danes start their drinking at home and get well-plastered before going to the pub/club. Once there the drinks are mostly to conserve an already healthy intoxication.
Not as many as you'd expect for such a fantastic club The only one that springs to mind is Hartvix - Norwegian (condolences of course).
There are definitely a bunch of Swedish lads that fairly often can be seen in the Rookery Stand with their Swedish flag, but I don't think they have discovered this forum yet? However, if I am wrong and you are reading this guys, please make yourselves known, and any other non UK fans for that matter. I am sure I speak for most of the board members by saying we would be glad to have your input on the forum. By the way, do not worry if your English is not too good, a fair proportion of our UK members are not that good at English either
Welcome, did you go to any of the friendlies in Denmark 3 and 4 years ago? The best one being losing to Randers FC at Grenna, afterwards the Grenna hosts had put on free beer and bbq for the wfc fans,. When we left they gave us bottles of beer for the journey back to Aarhus and paid for a taxi to take us to the station. two excellent tours.
Saw the Swedish Hornets at the last match of the season vs Reading a few years back (we won 1-0) didn't speak to them as I were in a hurry..
Yes of course, great fun and spoke to a few of the players, Ashley Young and Marlon King and a few others on the first pre season trip..great fun..AB chose Austria insteed another two brilliant trips...shame:'(
