Just thought I would let you all know that my friend has just finished writing Graham Polls' autobiography. It came out on sale on Monday. Tonight, Thursday, there is a signing at a bookshop on Tring and on Saturday at 11 - 12 Poll and my friend will be at Waterstones in Marlows Hemel doing a signing session there. The book starts with how Poll felt after the three yellows at the World Cup and then goes back in time. Interesting reading.
Much as I dislike Poll, I was reading some extracts from the book in the Express or Mail, can't remember which. It was about the Man U v Arsenal game and was fascinating reading. I will definately get the book but I think I'll put the paperback version on my Christmas list rather than get it now.
It is Poll's autobiography but as with most celebraties and sports people someone else has written it. So it is written in first person and has been approved by him. My friend has interviewed Poll several times and has spent ages going over it again once Poll read though and changed where necessary. I think Mick is only mentioned in the acknowledgement but Poll was happy at the way it was written and how his thoughts were expressed. I've had bits of it e mailed to me as it was being written and looing forward to reading ht ewhole thing. Hoping to get it for a birthday pressie.
