Go on then... Spoiler The free kick from the edge of the box that starts the move rebounds off the bar directly to the original taker. He took two touches before another player touched the ball, which isn't allowed. Hence indirect freekick to Villarreal.
I only found out about this rule when I was playing Football Manager, I thought my player glitched when he didn't even go for the rebound when his penalty hit the post but my brother told me about it
If the rule didn’t exist players could just dribble the ball in at a penalty, or shift it and shoot at a free kick.
Indeed, but I think it's harsh for incidents like this, it's hardly a pass to yourself if it hits the woodwork first!
