Fernando's stats from last season 10 starts 14 subs 5 goals Fernandos stats from 2012-13 19 starts 8 subs 8 goals The guy has an end product not to give him a chance in the premier league is disgraceful
I agree but I dont have those stats Why have we not loaned him yet we've loaned Fabbrini and Sean Murray - I dont understand the logic
Actually it is difficult - QSF may not be here for more than a year. Fernando is only 25 - loaning him out for a year and seeing how he performs with regular first team football would have made sense. How much money have we sold him for?
You can't run a football club based on ifs. Forestieri barely played second half of last season and wasn't deemed good enough now, I know people are struggling with this but it's quite clearly a fact. The fact that he's 25 doesn't change anything, he didn't really improve with us and never quite found the consistency in his game. With the 25 man squad and the 17 foreigners limit, the club either say 'ok, he can help us in the future but he won't make it into the squad now so we'll keep him in the network and just loan him out' or 'he isn't going to get in the squad, this club have matched our valuation of him, he can go'. It is that simple.
Anyone else think Celino may have been bidding as a favour to help Gino squeeze more cash out of Wednesday?
People who seriously think that Forestieri, undoubtedly a talent but one that failed to shine consistently in the Championship for 3 years, is somehow a player of greater pedigree than Jurado, who has played for some top clubs, including starring for Schalke who got to a Champions League semi-final alongside Raul, are deluded. I like Forestieri, his enthusiasm was infectious, and he was fun to watch, but his decision-making is dreadful. Jurado is a much more mature player, much more likely to make the right decisions, as opposed to Fernando, who very rarely does so, and who would've sharpened up his decision-making by now if he was going to get any better. Jurado may need a few games to get used to the league and his team-mates, but so did Abdi when he first arrived. His touch is immaculate, he can go past people, and whoever claimed he couldn't cross needs his head examined, he has put a few dangerous ones in, including a very good one for one of Deeney's goals in pre-season, and one for Ighalo against Southampton that deserved a much better attempt than the one it got. People like to spit feathers because we haven't been scoring very many, but those who think Forestieri would suddenly have had us crucifying PL opponents need to take off the rose-tinted glasses and remember that Forestieri only turned up half the time in the Championship.
Jurado has been, is, and will continue to be better than Forestieri. And this is coming from one of the founding members of the Fessi Fan Club.
This is the biggest mistake the club have made so far.Believe what you want to, but I am sorry FF is a true legend this fella has proven nothing to suggest he will ever be better than FF.
Jurado and Watson and Layin just need time to Gel. Let's judge after 25 games otherwise you need your head examining
And in that 3 years he more than proved himself for a chance in the the prem. Its a disgrace he was not given a chance.
Seeing that he was not exactly the first name on the team sheet in the Championship, why would he be a hit in the Premier? We don't have the time to give chances to all the players we used last season. If we did play them we would be relegated by Christmas.
People can believe what they want to,but I am disgusted at they way FF has been treated and believe he should of been given a chance.
would have liked to have seen fessi given a chance in the prem, but it is not fair to stand in the way of career. I hope he goes on to be a success with Wednesday and the best outcome would be if in a years time we regret selling him. I could never sell him on FIFA 14 career mode though.....I think I have attachment issues
The guy clearly loves the fans and the club and we love him, but we are doing what we think is the best for the club and got a good deal out of it. If another club had come in for him do you not think he'd do the best for him? And I don't mean money, I mean if we were in the Championship still and a Prem club came in for him. That goes for all of the players who have left/are leaving. Yes we are the ones selling them but I think some people are forgetting that it goes both ways and most of them would have left had we not gone up.
