Embed tweets?

How do we embed tweets without just having to copy and paste them? I've seen people do it but can't work out how myself.

 

Sounds painful.
I've absolutely no idea.

I used to have a twitter account but got into an argument with a minor celebrity and decided Twitter was full of r soles.

 

Hi UEA.

First, click on the 3-dot tab beneath a tweet as indicated in the screen capture below.

 

This opens a menu where it should include 'Embed Tweet', as seen below.

 

Then follow the instructions to 'copy' the code so you can paste the embedded tweet wherever you wish, supposedly.

I say supposedly because whenever I've tried this on here the tweet never actually embeds, just the code appears in the message!

I was going to vote Robin, but now I'm not sure.

 

The ability to embed tweets involves some work on our side, I'll investigate but I remember last time I looked it was a bit difficult. However that was before Twitter did half the work for you

 

On Wordpress there's a plug in which embeds the tweet if you simply copy and paste the Tweet link.

Hoping there's something similar regarding BBCodes and all that.

 

You haven't seen embedded tweets on here, you've seen screen captures of tweets attached to the posts as pictures.
